Horror Runout for Decout

Two short stacks went to war preflop, as Marion Decout and Daniel Hayden got it in, hoping to find some life in the deepstack championship.

Hayden was up in arms as the AJ8 flop fired his opponent way out in the lead, but he did manage to pick up some more life as the Q rolled off on the river. He managed to get into Broadway through the back door with the K river, ending Decout's run.

Kelly Doubles

James Neville raised to 8,000 in the cutoff, Una Kelly jammed for 81,000 on the button, Eric Kotsines called in the small blind and Neville folded.

Hatmaker Gone, Ahmadi Takes Hit

Casey Hatmaker got it all in for just 12,000 from the cutoff, and both blinds, Phillip Lowery and Nick Ahmadi, made the call.

The KAK flop checked through, before Ahmadi led for 13,000 on the 8 turn. Lowery called, allowing the Q to peel off on the river. Action checked through again, and Hatmaker tabled 44 immediately. What had started off as the best hand preflop had been downgraded to the worst postflop, as Lowery's AJ took it down, and Ahmadi's 108 lost out.

Staffords Still Standing

Michael Stafford moved all in for his remaining 25,500 from middle position and Evan Zhang called from the hijack.

Stafford needed some help, but the K106 flop went Zhang’s way.

Stafford re-took the lead on the Q turn, which gave him a straight but the J river sent the players to a chop.

Caballero's Snowmen Didn't Melt in the Heat

Behrooz Jamshidi opened to 7,000 in middle position and got three callers - Damon Fine in cutoff, Victor Caballero in small, Gal Bar in the big blind. All four players went to the flop and saw 236.

Caballero led with 5,000 and got called by Jamshidi. Both Fine and and Bar folded. The turn 4 fell and Caballero fired another 5,000 and Jamshidi tagged along to the last street.

Both players knuckled the river Q. Jamshidi tabled A6 while Caballero showed 88 to take the pot down.

Lee Knocks Okuda Out

Nobuyuki Okuda fired 30,000 chips into the pot from under the gun, putting his tournament life at risk. when the action folded around to Edwin Lee in the small blind, he made the call.

Lee Jams on Gorsuch

Action folded to Edwin Lee who raised to 8,000 in the small blind.

John Gorsuch re-raised to 21,000 from the big blind and Lee moved all in, covering Gorsuch's stack.

Gorsuch checked his hand, and took some time before making the fold, handing around 1/3 of his stack over to Lee without seeing any board.
