Rafael Folds Out Yockey on Turn

Level 12 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Sean Rafael raised from the button to 105,000 before Bryce Yockey called from the big blind to head to a flop.

Yockey chose to check the 527 flop before Rafael put out a bet of 130,000. Yockey was not done with the hand yet and called to send the two to a turn.

Yockey checked the A turn. Rafael began to stage a bet, but before he could properly slide out the bet, Yockey folded to award Rafael the pot.

Flopped Boat for Survana

Level 12 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Santhosh Suvarna raised to 105,000 from under the gun. Maxi Lehmanski potted to 360,000 from the button, and Suvarna called the raise.

The flop was QQ10, and Suvarna checked. Lehmanski bet 250,000, which Suvarna called.

Both players checked on the 8 turn and on the J river. Suvarna turned over AQ108 for a full house, and that won him the pot.

Koon Gets Short and Busts to Brewer

Level 12 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Jason Koon
Jason Koon

Jason Koon had invested 180,000 on the A43 flop in three-way action which saw Michael Duek call behind. The 3 turn paired the board and Koon check-folded to a bet of 100,000.

"Just the card we wanted," Koon said and poked Duek before adding "Deuce of hearts too, I had the steel wheel blocker":

James Chen then raised to 75,000 and won the blinds before Tomas Ribeiro made it 105,000 to go from under the gun, only Fahredin Mustafov called. On the AJ8 flop, Ribeiro's first barrel worth 165,000 was called. He then potted the K turn for 565,000 and Mustafov folded.

In the next hand, Chris Brewer opened the action with a raise to 105,000. Koon jammed for 345,000 and Brewer called when it was his turn to act.

Chris Brewer: AKQJ

The 1086 flop spelled trouble for Koon and he was drawing dead on the 8 turn to already grab his chips and hand them over to Brewer prior to the 4 on the river.

"Let's see if I can get back into this tournament," Koon said as he has one more bullet available.

Kings for Katz

Level 12 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Aaron Katz opened the action with a limp from under the gun before Daniel Negreanu chose to raise it to 120,000 in the next seat over. The table folded to the big blind of Arthur Morris, who called, and Katz also decided to call to go three-handed to a flop.

That was where the action ended as all three players checked through the board of 47828 to go to a showdown.

Katz announced kings and showed KK94 to take down the pot.

Double Up for Moncek

Level 12 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

It's been a rough go for Michael Moncek to start Day 2, as he's already in for three bullets in this tournament.

In this hand, he raised in the cutoff, and was met by a reraise from Isaac Haxton on the button. Moncek responded with a pot-size raise to 450,000, and Haxton decided to call.

The flop came AKJ, and Moncek bet his remaining chips. Haxton made the call, and the cards were on their backs.

Isaac Haxton: A1077

The 9 fell on the turn, and 3 fell on the river, so Moncek got the double up.

There was approximately 220,000 in the pot on a full board of 4K10Q3. Eelis Pärssinen bet 155,000 from middle position before Isaac Haxton raised to 620,000 from the hijack with just 5,000 behind.

Pärssinen mulled it over for quite some time, burning through three of his precious time bank cards. After staring down Haxton a few times, Pärssinen decided to let his hand and surrender the pot to Haxton.

Level 12 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Three ways to the 1074 flop, Ben Lamb checked out of the small blind and Michael Duek in the big blind bet 150,000. Fahredin Mustafov called in the cutoff and Lamb folded.

The J turn saw Duek get the rest of it in and Mustafov looked him up.
