Soverel Check-Jams Turn

Level 18 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Sam Soverel raised in the hijack. Aaron Katz called next to act, and Sean Rafael called in the big blind.

The flop came AJ6, and action checked to Katz. He bet 450,000, and Soverel called.

The turn brought the 3, and Soverel checked again. Katz bet 975,000 now, and Soverel responded with a pot-sized raise, which was enough to put him all in. Katz went deep into the tank, using five time extensions, but eventually folded.

Schulman Finds a Double

Level 18 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Nick Schulman
Nick Schulman

Nik Airball began with a raise to 420,000 from the hijack, and Nick Schulman called from the big blind and sent them to a flop.

Airball put out enough chips to put Schulman all in on the flop of 894. Schulman put in his final 830,000 to be at risk.

Nick Schulman: KJ99All in
Nik Airball: KK84

Schulman flopped a big hand with top set out doing Airball's pocket kings. The A turn did not change anything, and the 2 river peeled off to award Schulman the double and leave Airball with a short stack.

Guerra Still Leads the Way

Level 18 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Tomas Ribeiro raised to 420,000 in the hijack and was called by Isaac Haxton out of the big blind. On the J108 flop, Haxton check-called for 340,000 and did so again for 850,000 on the A turn. The Q river was checked and Haxton tabled his KQ103 for broadway first.

Ribeiro had the equally strong AKJ7 and they chopped the pot.

Lautaro Guerra then took on Arthur Morris in a limp-raised pot when they checked the Q73 flop. On the 4 turn, Guerra bet 750,000 and Morris inquired about the pot size before folding.

Bryce Yockey Eliminated in 16th Place ($200,000)

Level 18 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Bryce Yockey
Bryce Yockey

Bryce Yockey opened the action to 350,000 from early position before it folded to Sam Soverel. Soverel chose to raise before Yockey announced all-in, and Soverel called to create a showdown with Yockey at risk.

Bryce Yockey: KKQ10All in
Sam Soverel: AAQ2

Yockey was in trouble with his kings against Soverel's aces, and the flop of Q36 did not alter that situation. The A on the turn diminished Yockey's outs to only a gutshot straight draw. The 5 river sealed the deal as Yockey was eliminated in 16th place. Yockey received $200,000 for his effort.

Negreanu Spikes the River to Survive & Shouts at Kabhrel

Level 18 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

From early position, Daniel Negreanu raised to 350,000 from his stack of 610,000. Everyone folded around to Sean Rafael in the big blind, who jammed to put Negreanu all in. Negreanu called for the remainder of his stack.

Daniel Negreanu: J1054
Sean Rafael: AA86

Rafael had aces but Negreanu had four live cards. The dealer put out a flop of A73 to give Rafael top set, but Negreanu had a straight draw. The J turn didn't change anything, but the 6 rolled off on the river to give Negreanu the nuts, and he doubled up.

Negreanu turned around and shouted "Not like this!!" at Martin Kabhrel, who was playing the Main Event on the other side of the Events Center.

Soverel Flops Trips

Level 18 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Sam Soverel made it 350,000 from the hijack with only Bryce Yockey calling from the button.

Soverel continued with a bet of 150,000 on the J66 flop. Yockey called.

The A appeared on the turn and Soverel bet again, this time for 200,000. Again, Yockey called.

Upon seeing the 5 roll off on the river, Soverel bet 510,000. Yockey didn't take long to call, and Soverel revealed KQQ6 for trip sixes. Yockey mucked, and Soverel took down the pot.

Level 18 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Alex Foxen raised the pot to 350,000 on the button and claimed the blinds.

Isaac Haxton then opened to 250,000 in the hijack and Foxen called in the cutoff. Nick Schulman on the button used a time extension and folded while Tomas Ribeiro called in the big blind. The Q95 flop was checked to Foxen, who bet 540,000 and won the pot uncontested.
