Seiver Gets Paid with Massive Overbet

Level 6

5 Card Draw

Aaron Magers opened to 1,400 from the hijack and Scott Seiver defended from the big blind.

Seiver took one and Magers took three. Seiver took a look at his cards and announced a bet of 10,000. Magers shook his head as he begrudgingly put in the call. Seiver tabled Q10843 for a flush as his overbet got paid.

Deeb Takes from Negreanu

Level 5

Badugi

Shaun Deeb raised from the button, Daniel Negreanu three-bet from the small blind, and Deeb called.

Negrenau stood pat while Deeb took two. Negreanu bet, Deeb raised, and Negreanu called.

"I'm not breaking this," explained Negreanu as he remained pat. Deeb patted behind as Negreanu check-called a bet.

Both patted on the end as Deeb fired another bet and Negreanu laid it down after some consideration. Deeb was kind enough to show 653A for a six-badugi as he showed his friend that he made a good fold.

Arieh Spikes the River to Eliminate Delange

Level 5
Josh Arieh
Josh Arieh

Big O

Action was picked up on the turn in a pot between Josh Arieh from under the gun and Burke Delange from the small blind.

With just 3,200 in the middle and the board reading 643K, the rest of Delange's 16,500 found their way into the middle as he was at risk against Arieh.

Burke Delange: AKKK2 All in
Josh Arieh: A8752

Arieh held the nut straight and both players had the same low, with Delange holding top set. However, the 2 fell on the river to counterfeit Delange as Arieh made nut-nut to score a knockout.

Level 4
Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

Pot-Limit Omaha

Shaun Deeb had only just taken his seat in the tournament right beside Daniel Negreanu when he tangled in a pot with Michael Block and George Wang.

With the flop showing J89, Block moved all in for 4,200 from the button, Wang stuck in his last 9,000 from the hijack, and Deeb put both players at risk in the small blind.

Michael Block: J964 All in
George Wang: KQ107 All in
Shaun Deeb: AJ53

Block had flopped two pair while Wang had a straight, but the 2 turn improved Deeb to the nut flush. The river was the Q and Deeb scored the double knockout.

Level 3

Big O

Adam Friedman bet 2,500 from the button on a flop of 9K5 and Geoffrey Tomes called in the small blind, as did Nadim Medlege in the cutoff.

The turn was the 2 and Friedman potted to 10,500. Tomes folded, but Medlege called to see the 3 river. Medlege then moved all in and Friedman, with around 6,000 remaining, snap-folded.

Medlege showed A6322 as he took the pot. "Would you call on the turn?" Medlege asked.

"Of course, I had a set," Friedman replied.

"No, would you have called with my hand?" Medlege added.

"I would've check-raised all in," Friedman answered.
