On the bubble to the unofficial final table, Wai Kit Lo raised to 3,200,000 from under the gun but folded when Marat Shafigullin three-bet to 9,000,000.

One hand later, Shafigullin raised to the same 3,200,000 and Giuseppe Zaarbo instantly jammed in the next seat. Tanith Rothman gave him a side eye but folded, while Jonathan Stoeber asked for a count, which happened to be for 17,200,000. Stoeber folded after two minutes of consideration, as did Lo and Shafigullin.

David Hirst was just moved from the other table and needed to pay the big blind, so he had just 1,400,000 behind after paying the big blind and ante. Action folded to Marat Shafigullin, who raised to 3,500,000. Everyone got out of the way, leaving the decision to Hirst, who went all in for his last 3,000,000.

Shafigullin was ahead, and the flop gave him a set as it showed Q♣9♦2♣. Hirst was hoping for a turnaround on the turn, but the 9♠ turn sealed the deal for Hirst, sending him to the rail and eliminating one more player for Shafigullin.

Wai Kit Lo checked the stack sizes of the other players behind and then raised to 3,200,000. The action folded all the way to Tom Thomas in the big blind, who had already a big portion invested via the big blind and big blind ante. With few chips behind and the prospect of shortest player at the table, he moved all-in for little more than the opening raise and Lo called.

Neither player connected with the 8♦7♥2♣Q♣3♦ board and the ace was enough for Lo to notch up another knockout, sending Thomas to the rail in 13th place for $31,300.
