Muehloecker Wins One, Then Runs Into a Full House
In the first hand, with around 7,800 in the pot and the board showing K♦J♣10♦, Thomas Muehloecker led out from the small blind with a bet of 2,600. Alan Ho, seated in the cutoff, responded with a raise to 10,000, which Muehloecker called.
The A♦ hit the turn and both players slowed down with a check.
On the 2♣ river, Muehloecker fired again, this time for 7,000. Ho quickly folded, conceding the pot to Muehloecker.
But the very next hand told a different story.
Gnana Duddukuru opened the action with a raise to 1,200 from the cutoff, and Muehloecker called on the button. The flop came Q♣10♠10♦, and after Duddukuru checked, Muehloecker took a stab with 1,100. Duddukuru made the call.
Both players checked the Q♠ turn.
On the 7♦ river, Duddukuru led for 3,000. Muehloecker made the call but was shown the bad news, Duddukuru tabled Q♦J♥ for a full house, queens over tens, to take the pot.
