Duffy in Decline
Level 9
: Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Ciaran Duffy opened the action with a raise on the button to 3,000. Only Jerry Wong made the call, defending his big blind.
The dealer burned and turned three, revealing a Q♦J♥Q♣ flop. Wong started with a check, but when Duffy continued for 2,000, Wong check-raised to 5,000. Duffy called, and the two took a turn.
Wong checked for a second time on the 10♦ turn, which saw Duffy place a bet of 8,500. Wong, though, executed the double check-raise, moving all in covering his opponent.
A frustrated Duffy folded his hand, showing he had the A♠ in the process.
