Pecora Straightens Out Kassouf
Level 18
: Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Jo Ann Pecora raised to 25,000 from under the gun and picked up three callers along the way, including Will Kassouf in the hijack. The flop came J♠9♣6♦ and Pecora continued with a bet of 33,000. Kassouf raised to 75,000 and only Pecora called.
The 8♣ landed on the turn and Pecora checked to Kassouf who fired out another bet of 100,000. Pecora still called and the 5♠ hit the river. Pecora checked again and surprise, Kassouf started talking.
"I put you on pocket tens. I guess you could have queens but I think you have tens. I hope you have tens," as he slapped his hand on the table. Pecora flipped over 7♣7♦ for a rivered straight and Kassouf was left in disbelief after losing the pot with Q♠J♣.
