"I'll take that," Cole said after both players turned over their cards. He remained ahead as the board came J♠9♦7♣2♥, but Alcindor hit the Q♣ on the river to win the pot and send Cole to the rail.
"Nice hand, buddy. Every time. It was nice playing with all of you," a still-smiling Cole told his tablemates as he wrapped an arm around Alcindor's shoulders and gave him a pat on the back before making his exit.
