Peretz Finds a Miracle to Triple
Matija Kajtez raised to 80,000 under the gun before Yaniv Peretz reraised to 205,000 in early position, leaving himself just one 5,000 chip behind. Bogdan Chornyy then four-bet to 330,000 in the hijack.
The table spent some time determining if Chornyy had made a legal raise before it was ruled that his bet stood. "That guy is probably good at math. A GTO wizard," a tablemate said about Chornyy.
The action went back on Kajtez who reraised to 780,000. Chornyy eventually folded and Peretz put in his last chip.
Yaniv Peretz: Q♥Q♦
Matija Kajtez: A♠A♥
Peretz had run his queens into Kajtez's aces and fell further behind on the 10♠8♠6♠ flop as Kajtez picked up a flush draw. Peretz had one out going to the turn, which came the 10♥ to open up an additional out. The river was the Q♠ and Peretz spiked a full house to earn the triple up.
"Can't get rid of him," tablemate Frank Flowers said.
"I used my one time. Not his one time, my one time," Peretz's fellow Israeli Gabi Livshitz said while watching on the rail.
