Dunaway Frustrates Kennedy on the River; Kassouf Getting on His Tables' Nerves
Brett Kennedy bet 250,000 from under the gun on a flop of 9♠6♠2♥ and Braxton Dunaway called in the big blind.
Both players checked the 7♠ turn before Dunaway led out for 450,000 on the Q♣ river. Kennedy called and Dunaway showed Q♠9♣ for two pair on the river. Kennedy slammed the table in frustration as Dunaway took the pot.
At the same time at another table, Sam Darkin had opened to 125,000 in middle position and Will Kassouf called in the cutoff.
Darkin checked the 10♣4♣7♠ flop. "No c-bet with that stack? I must have the best hand. Whatever this is, let the dealer count it," Kassouf said as he tossed in a pile of chips.
The dealer counted out a bet of 225,000, and Darkin called. The turn was the 8♦ and Darkin checked again.
"I don't even know what I'm doing. I got two hours sleep last night. Donk it off to find out where you're at, right? This is a stupid game," Kassouf added.
Tablemate Kohei Arai finally had enough and told Kassouf to think to himself. "I'm talking out loud to think to myself. If I take two minutes to think quietly, what's the difference?" Kassouf replied.
Another tablemate eventually called the clock before Kassouf led out for 500,000. Darkin quickly folded.
"Please and I show," Kassouf said to Darkin, who remained silent. "Manners go a long way," Kassouf finally said as he slid his cards back to the dealer.
