Nakai Asks for it All

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Action was joined with 8,000 already in the pot and a board showing 2596.

Under the gun player, Ryuta Nakai, checked to John Volpendesta in the cutoff, who placed a bet of 10,000. Nakai's response was one of total pressure, moving all in, covering his opponent.

Volpendesta looked a tortured soul while deciding what to do, but reluctantly abandoned his chips already in the middle by returning his cards to the dealer.

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

With around 12,000 in the pot, on a completed board of A7Q38, Daichi Sawayanagi checked from the small blind, and Eric Bonin bet 9,200 from early position.

After mulling it over for quite some time, Sawayanagi called, prompting Bonin to tap the table, indicating a good call by Sawayanagi. Bonin reluctantly showed 44 for a bluff, allowing Sawayanagi to pull in the pot with A2 for just a pair of aces.

West Floats the Flop

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Action was joined in a three-bet pot with 7,900 chips in the middle and a flop showing 61010.

Jhonny Ortiz, the preflop three-bettor and big blind, continued for 1,500, and only Richard West called in the hijack.

The dealer flipped over the 5 turn, and Ortiz hit the brakes, checking to his opponent. West accepted the invitation to take over the betting lead, putting out a wager of 4,000. This was enough to see Ortiz fold his hand, returning his cards to the dealer.

Neto Spikes Turn to Double

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Abilio Neto open-jammed his remaining 7,900 from early position. Steven Alper called in the seat next to him before the rest of the table got out of the way.

Abilio Neto: 99 All in
Steven Alper: AK

Neto seemed to be heading to an early exit after the A8J flop, but the 9 turn saw him hit one of his two direct outs. He locked up the pot, meaning the 6 river was rendered meaningless.

Barlow Pads His Stack

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Philip Sternheimer raised to 1,000 from early position and was called by Louis Barlow in middle position, Haim Gabay on the button, and Justin Allen in the big blind.

Allen checked to Sternheimer, who bet 2,100 on the A94 flop. Barlow called and both Gabay and Allen called.

Action checked through on the Q turn and Sternheimer checked a final time on the A river.

Barlow put a modest 2,000 bet into the middle and Sternheimer studied Barlow a bit before opting to lay his hand down.
