Jon Kyte opened to 1,300 from middle position and Ming Yew Liow called from the small blind.
The flop came J♣7♣2♥ and Liow led out with a 1,700 bet. Kyte raised to 6,700 and Liow mucked.

Heads-up on a flop of Q♥6♥7♣ with a bit over 10,000 in the middle, Joao Simao checked from the big blind to Thomas Bolton, who bet 4,000 from early position. Simao called.
The J♣ fell on the turn and Simao checked again. Bolton kept the aggression on for a bet of 7,000 and Simao let his hand go after a bit of thought.

David Baldanza made it 1,100 from the cutoff with Gunner Stever calling from the button and Andreas Kniep defending his big blind.
Everyone checked the 3♥4♠10♣ flop to see the 8♠ appear on the turn. Kniep bet 2,600, which only Stever called.
Kniep fired 7,500 on the A♥ river, and Stever quickly folded.

Hitesh Patel raised to 1,100 in the cutoff and on the button Christophe Schild called.
The flop rolled out Q♠6♠7♥ and Patel checked over to Schild who bet 1,400 which Patel called.
On the turn 3♥, Patel checked over to Schild who bet 3,500 and Patel called once more.
Both players checked the A♣ river and Patel shook his head. Schild turned over Q♦J♦ for a pair of queens and it was good for the pot.

Shortly before the break, Deividas Kvaselis and Ray Medlin manoeuvred their stacks into the middle preflop, in a pot that would see the victor scoop a six-figure pot.

The 9♥4♣7♠ did little more than offer Kvaselis some backdoor opportunities. However, the door slammed shut on any potential help from running cards when the dealer revealed the 10♠ turn.
The dealer then burned and turned the 6♣, sealing Kvaselis' fate, and as the rest of the field headed for the dinner break, Kvaselis headed to the exit.
