Wakeman Takes from Shakerchi

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

From middle position on a flop of 9A8, Matthew Wakeman bet 2,000 from middle position, and Talal Shakerchi called from the hijack.

The 6 appeared on the turn and Wakeman check-called a bet of 3,500 from Shakerchi.

Both players checked the K river and Wakeman flipped over Q9 for a pair of nines. Shakerchi couldn't beat it, and Wakeman won the pot.

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Will Kassouf
Will Kassouf

Yifu He opened to 2,200 on the button and Will Kassouf defended his big blind.

Kassouf checked on the 26J flop and He continued for 1,500.

Never shy about engaging in banter, Kassouf's verbal assault began.

"You always bet. Bet flop, bet turn, bet river, no?" Kassouf began.

"If you've got it, you've got it," Kassouf then put in a raise to 5,300.

"No shame in folding. I'll show if you show," Kassouf continued as He contemplated his decision. He eventually called.

The 9 fell on the turn.

"I think I've got the best hand... I've gotta bet to find out," Kassouf said before putting 10,000 into the middle.

He let his hand go and Kassouf tuned over 97.

"Nine high like a boss!" Kassouf shouted (in reference to his flop raise) as he collected the pot.

Eliot Hudon opened to 2,200 from early position, Maksim Petrov called on the button and Michael Odell moved all in from the small blind for 36,000.
