Chung was in great shape to start his spin-up with the better ace. The 9♥9♠10♦3♥5♠ runout improved neither player, which meant Chung doubled up with ace-queen high.
Pedro Garcia opened to 3,000 from the cutoff and Arash Asadabadi moved all in for his remaining 38,000 stack. Garcia called and the players flipped their hands.

Asadabadi was looking to hold but, Garcia took the lead on the 7♣8♦3♠ flop.
There was no redemption for Asadabadi as the turn came 2♣ and the river saw the 10♦.
Eddy Sabat had 5,000 placed out in front of him on a flop of Q♣3♦5♣. Jung Woo jammed from the next seat for 40,500, and after a bit of thinking, Sabat made the call.

Woo had a pair of queens against the flush draw of Sabat. The 8♦ came on the turn and the 10♠ rolled off on the river. Woo doubled up with top pair at the expense of Sabat.
Rickey McCray three-bet all in with some 30,000 in chips from the big blind. Ryan Johnson called in middle position.

McCray was in good shape and stayed that way throughout the runout of 9♥9♣9♦8♣7♦, which ended with him having a full house for the double-up.
Table chip leader William Camp raised to 3,000 with Q♣10♠ and Thomas Winschel defended the big blind with the Q♠8♠. They checked the K♦J♠10♦ flop to the 9♥ turn on which Winschel bet 10,000 and Camp called.
Winschel also bet the 7♠ river for 22,000 with 54,500 behind and Camp then pushed all-in. The reluctant call by Winschel with the second nuts followed and they chopped the pot.

Coming back from the dinner break, the field on Day 2d has been trimmed to less than 3,000 players still remaining with the better part of two levels still to play. 2015 WSOP Main Event champion Joe McKeehen was among the notables who will not be advancing to Day 3 of this event.
Patrick Steele raised to 3,000 from middle position only to be three-bet by Man Tse to 9,000 in late position and then four-bet to 28,000 by Christopher Meyers in the big blind.
Steele folded, and Tse thought for a short while before he announced that he was all-in. He had Meyers covered. Meyers snap called.

It was not the flop Meyers wanted to see when the 6♥2♠Q♠ peeled off. The 4♦ on the turn did nothing to change matters, and when the 5♠ bricked out on the river, Meyers was sent to the rail in a nasty fashion
Julien Martini from under the gun and Ivaylo Panev from the cutoff were heads-up to a completed board of K♦9♥5♥7♥J♣ with just under 50,000 in the middle.
Martini led with big enough bet to put Panev all in for his final 34,000. After almost two minutes, Panev put a stack into the middle to call off his stack.

Martini had the overpair but Panev rivered two pair and made the correct call on the end as he secured the full double.
Over on the secondary table, Christian Chung three-bet to 10,000 and then called all-in for 44,500 when Daniel Lim jammed.
