Ward Catches Bloch Bluffing

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Miles Ward
Miles Ward

Miles Ward raised to 4,000 in the small blind with the 63 and Peter Bloch defended the big blind holding the K5. The Q93 flop was checked and that led them to the 8 on the turn. Ward now bet 7,000 with his bottom pair and Bloch called.

On the 6 river, there were 24,000 in the middle and Ward bet 20,000. Bloch double-checked his cards and then raised big to 70,000 with his king-high air. Ward shook his head and called after only a few seconds of consideration.

Jeremy Goldy pushed in his final 14,500 from middle position. It folded to Tom Fuchs, who wished his opponent good luck before calling.

Jeremy Goldy: 55 All in
Tom Fuchs: 44

Goldy was in great shape to double up, and he remained so on the 2K8 flop and J turn. The 4 river saw Fuchs hit his two-outer, however, sending Goldy to a sour exit.
