Heads-up on a completed board of 7♠4♥5♣6♥J♠ with several thousand already in the middle, Chance Kornuth checked from the big blind and Josh Arieh bet 3,300.
Kornuth weighed his options, but eventually landed on a call and Arieh tabled Q♥J♥ for a pair of jacks.
Kornuth sent his hand into the muck and Arieh padded his stack.
Kyle Miholich jammed for an even 8,000 from under the gun and got one call from Joshua Bobrosky two seats to his left.

"Casino royale!" Miholich proclaimed as he attempted to summon some Martin Kabrhel run-good.
The 10♠7♣2♦ gave Miholich some backdoors but he still needed some help to survive.
"Need to see some paint," Miholich begged as the dealer completed the board with 3♥8♠ and Miholich was left with king-high.
Miholich exclaimed "Not like that!" once the river card was dealt, and he earned some laughs from the room on his way to the rail.
Talal Shakerchi opened from the hijack to 1,800 and only Robert Petrowski called out of the big blind.
Heads-up to the J♣5♥7♥ flop that saw Petrowski check-call a bet of 1,600 from Shakerchi.
The 10♥ came on the turn and Petrowski checked again. Shakerchi quickly fired out 3,000, resulting in an even quicker fold from Petrowski.
Action was picked up with Jeff Sluzinski all in and at risk from the cutoff for his last 9,200 against Kevin Nee in first position who had called to put him at risk.

The board ran out 8♥J♣4♦7♠10♣ and the river brought a straight to Nee to eliminate the tournament pro from the tournament. Sluzinski wished his table mates good luck as he exited the tournament.
Joseph Stellato was all-in for 10,100 from the cutoff and Day 2 entry Jacob Edelstein called on the button. Brett Shaffer then reraised to 20,000 in the big blind and Edelstein called.
On the J♦9♠6♥ flop, Shaffer jammed for 21,500 and Edelstein snap-called.

The K♠ turn improved Shaffer to a set of kings and the J♥ river changed nothing, as Stellato bowed out with a bad beat story to tell.
Tai Cao raised from middle position to 1,600 and found calls from Patrik Jaros in late position and Russell Thomas in the cutoff. Tiffany Wong on the button then decided to pump it up and three-bet to 7,200. All players folded apart from Thomas.
The flop came 9♣2♣K♠, and Thomas checked to Wong, who fired out a continuation bet of 6,700. Thomas thought for a short while before he mucked his cards, sending the pot to Wong uncontested.
Aaron Mermelstein, who registered at the start of the day and had taken the seat of the busted Brendan Loftus, was on the button and involved in a pot against Yaroslav Shkliar in the big blind.
Shkliar and Mermelstein had reached the river on the 3♠Q♥9♥2♠Q♠ board, with 51,000 already in the pot. Shkliar checked to Mermelstein, who settled on a bet of 33,000.
Shkliar did not need much time before he tossed in a call, but he sighed and mucked his cards when Mermelstein showed A♠5♠ for the nut flush.
Mike Takayama three-bet to 8,000 in the small blind and Jibok Park called from the cutoff. They checked all the way to the K♠10♣5♦4♦9♦ river on which Takayama's bet of 16,000 was called. He rolled over the 9♣9♠ for a set of nines and won the pot.
The action was joined as Antony Cragg and Kristen Foxen were contesting a pot worth roughly 14,000.
The flop action was already complete with K♣10♦6♦ on their backs in the middle.
The dealer burned and turned the 5♥ turn card, and Cragg continued for a bet of 12,100, which Foxen called.
Both players then saw the J♣ complete the board, and Cragg kept his foot firmly on the accelerator, moving all in. Foxen was the shorter of the two stacks, with roughly 50,000 remaining.
Foxen went deep into the tank. Stuck in an unenviable position so early on Day 2, she took seven minutes before reaching a decision. She returned her cards to the dealer face down, but did let Cragg know she had folded a set of sixes.
Hundreds of players have already used the chance to enter during the first two levels of Day 2 and that also applies for Liv Boeree, who can be found in the Paris Yellow section. She won a small pot off Hamid Mezhoud on the river of a 9♠8♣3♣5♠5♦ board when her opponent bet 3,000 and she raised to 8,000 to take it down uncontested.
