Vanier Puts Amaral to the Test

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Michael Vanier opened to 6,000 from the cutoff and was called by Eric Bunch in the small blind. In the big blind, Eduardo Amaral squeezed to 27,000 and only Vanier called.

Amaral continued for one-third on the 865 flop as he bet 21,000 and Vanier put in the call.

Amaral then checked on the wet 7 turn before Vanier put out a bet of 40,000, and Amaral stuck around.

On the 5 river, Amaral checked once more to Vanier who quickly announced all-in as the covering stack for 112,000 effective, and Amaral laid it down without much of a fight.

David Macisaac
David Macisaac

Pedro Garcia opened to 6,000 from middle position, only to see David Macisaac put in a three-bet to 16,000 from the button. Garcia contemplated for a moment and chose to call.

The flop came down 2210 and Garcia immediately checked. Macisaac then moved all in for 35,000.

Garcia took his time in deciding what to do, ultimately deciding Macisaac's range was strong, and folding with the 10 face up.

Macisaac immediately windmilled the K5 across the table, as the dealer pushed the pot in his direction.
