Metalidi Bets Every Street

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Bruce Wolf limped in from middle position and Juan Barattini completed from the small blind. Artem Metalidi checked his option from the big blind and they headed to the flop three ways.

Barattini checked the 795 flop and Metalidi bet 5,500. Wolf called, but Barattini folded.

The 10 came on the turn and Metalidi continued with a bet of 20,000. Again, Wolf called.

Metalidi fired out 22,000 upon seeing the 5 fall on the river, which resulted in Wolf sending his cards back to the dealer.

Lapka’s Aces Hold Against Rawtani

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

With around 42,000 in the pot and the board showing 102QK, Nitesh Rawtani checked it over to Justin Lapka, who tossed out a bet of 15,000. Rawtani made the call, taking them to the river.

The 8 completed the board, and Rawtani checked once more. Lapka took his time before deciding to check back, bringing the hand to a showdown.

Rawtani revealed QJ for a pair of queens and a missed straight draw, but Lapka turned over AA for the overpair, good enough to take the pot. Rawtani was left with less than a starting stack as Lapka dragged in the chips.

Lyall Forces the Fold

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Thomas Eychenne
Thomas Eychenne

With the flop showing Q105 and around 35,000 already in the pot, Dean Lyall checked from under the gun to Thomas Eychenne in middle position. Eychenne fired out 20,000, and Lyall made the call.

The Q turn was checked through by both players, slowing the pace.

But when the A landed on the river, Lyall shifted gears and moved all in for his last 48,000. The sudden shove clearly put Eychenne in a tough spot, and he didn’t look pleased with how the board had run out. After some thought, he eventually folded.

As the pot was pushed Lyall’s way, he cheekily asked, “Do you call a flop all-in?” Eychenne stayed quiet, and Lyall followed up with a few more speculative guesses about his hand, but Eychenne didn’t give anything away.

Daniel Negreanu: KQ All in
Loni Hui: 88

"All I have to do is win a flip", said Negreanu.

The flop came down 3Q7, and it was a good start for Negreanu. The turn J and river Q improved him to trips, providing him a double up.
