Ferro Knows He Made the Right Fold

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Jacob Ferro
Jacob Ferro

On a completed board of 10593J, Jacob Ferro bet 52,000 out of the cutoff, and Meng-Ling Lin raised to 125,000 from the button. Ferro only had roughly 105,000 remaining in his stack and went into the tank. Ferro took a few minutes and apologized to his tablemates a few times before deciding on a fold.

Ferro asked Lin to show a bluff, but she couldn't, as instead she revealed the nuts with AJ.

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Matthew Mcewan opened in the hijack, but Arthur De Campos, the small blind, had other plans and moved all in. Mcewan asked for a count; after the dealer confirmed 76,000, he made the call, putting his opponent at risk.

Arthur De Campos: A10All in
Matthew Mcewan: 77

The board ran out KA925, giving De Campos a pair of aces and his much-needed double-up.

Koukouras Spikes an Ace to Eliminate Fishbein

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Albert Calderon opened to 10,000 from middle position before Jacob Fishbein jammed for 123,000 from the cutoff. In the small blind, Antonios Koukouras had a long tank before he moved all in for around 145,000, and Calderon quickly folded with Fishbein at risk.

Jacob Fishbein: 1010 All in
Antonios Koukouras: AK

It was a coinflip scenario until the A appeared in the window and was followed by the QJ. The 9 turn gave Koukouras the nut flush draw but Fishbein was now open ended. However, the 7 completed the board as Koukouras made his flush as he outflipped Fishbein to send him to the exit.

Guerra Nears a Million; Chakoian Folds Top Pair

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Lautaro Guerra
Lautaro Guerra

Lautaro Guerra raised from under the gun to 10,000 and Artem Metalidi three-bet from the next seat to 33,000. When it got back to Guerra, he called.

They went to a flop of 749, where Guerra check-called a bet of 55,000 from Metalidi.

Both then checked to showdown on the 23 runout, where Guerra's 66 was good the pot with a pair of sixes.

On the adjacent table at the exact same time, Gary Chakoian raised from under the gun to 11,000 and Alex Visbisky three-bet to 35,000 out of the hijack. Chakoian called.

Both checked to the river on the 5910K6 board, where Chakoian bet 23,000 and Visbisky raised to 78,000. Chakoian had around 110,000 behind and was in the tank for a while before he flashed the K and folded.

Quads for McKellar; Sorrow for Tucci

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Action picked-up three-ways to the turn with the board reading 664K with around 80,000 in the middle already.

Franco Tucci from the small blind and Pierce McKellar from middle position ended up getting all of their chips into the middle as Jon Turner was the third participant from the big blind, but he folded facing an all-in and a call in front of him. Tucci was the one at risk for his final 105,000.

Franco Tucci: AK All in
Pierce McKellar: 66

Tucci was already drawing dead against the flopped quads of McKellar as he began to leave the tournament area. To add insult to injury, the K landed on the turn to give Tucci a full house as he returned to the table to snap a picture.

"Just tell your friends it was all in on the river," joked one of the tablemates.

Zegal Over Seven Figures

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Action was picked up on the flop in a pot between Jack Bittker in the big blind and Stanislav Zegal in the small blind.

With 39,000 in the center, both players checked the 9J4 flop to the Q turn where Zegal bet 56,000 and Bittker called.

On the river 8, Zegal bet 38,000 and Bittker shifted in his seat.

"I was very afraid you were going to jam," said Bittker as he contemplated what to do with his hand.

After a few more seconds he put in the call, only to see Zegal turn over K10 for a king-high straight. It was good against Bittker's QJ for queens and jacks and Zegal climbed to over one million in the counts.
