Jang Triples Up, Chen Left with Three Bigs

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Action was picked up with three players - Hyunsick Jang in cutoff all in for 167,000, Huabao Chen in the big blind all in for 184,000, and Kevin Nee in the small blind who covered both players.

Hyunsick Jang: KK All in
Huabao Chen: AQ
Kevin Nee: 64

The dealer flopped 8102 which kept Jang's lead but gave Nee a flush draw. Chen was still hoping to hit his ace, but the turn K gave Jang a set, strengthening his lead.

Chen, however, did pick up additional outs with a straight draw, while Nee was still waiting for a diamond to fall.

The river 8 cemented Jang's triple up with a full house.

A very small side pot of 34,000 went to Chen, but he got eliminated a few hands later.

Confusion, Rulings and Exposed Cards

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Vinicius Camargo
Vinicius Camargo

It was immediate action on Table 531 in the Main Event.

When the under-the-gun player folded, the dealer pulled in his cards, but also accidentally pulled in the cards of the small blind player, as he was stacking chips from the previous hand and hadn't yet 'protected his cards'.

The next player to act, Jon Kyte, put in a raise to 22,000, but as he did this, the players at the table believed the hand to be a misdeal. The confusion at the table led to Vinicius Camargo sharing his cards with the players sitting next to him, exposing pocket jacks, as he believed he was about to return them to the dealer.

Queue the floor being called. A tournament official arrived, took stock of the action and made a ruling:

1. Because there had been action, the hand wasn't a misdeal.
2. Camargo's hand wasn't dead, but as he had shown two players, he must expose his cards to the whole table.

He turned over JJ.

The hand was now ready to resume, and action was on Camargo, still facing the raise of 22,000.

Camargo responded with a three-bet to 55,000, before one seat to his left, Max Pinnola, four-bet all in for 146,000.

The action returned to Kyte, who folded, and back to Camargo.

Camargo went deep into the tank, knowing that his opponent knew his hand, and still elected to move all in.

After some time, he chose to call anyway.

Max Pinnola: AQ All in
Vinicius Camargo: JJ

The dealer provided a 224K8 board, which was no help to Pinnola; and as he gathered his belongings and left, the rest of the table discussed the very unique hand they had just been a part of.

Morris Triples, Reid Bounced

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Terrance Reid
Terrance Reid

David Gonia raised it up in middle position and was called by Terrance Reid in the cutoff and Stephanie Morris in the small blind. The flop fell K65 and Morris flicked in the last of her 26,000 chips. Gonia just called and Reid raised to 90,000. Gonia countered by shoving all in and Reid snapped off his stack of around 300,000.

Stephanie Morris: K10All in
Terrance Reid: A7All in
David Gonia: KQ

Two players flopped top pair but it was Reid with the only hearts in his hand. The turn was the 10 which improved Morris to two pair and the 8 on the river bricked out for Reid. Morris got her wish with a triple up but Reid was forced to leave the tournament area.

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
James Obst
James Obst

Joshua Boulton raised to 20,000 in middle position and Nazar Buhaiov three-bet to 55,000 in the hijack. James Obst then moved all in for 150,000 on the button and Boulton folded, while Buhaiov took a few minutes and eventually called to put Obst at risk.

James Obst: AJ All in
Nazar Buhaiov: A10

Obst had Buhaiov dominated as the KJ3 flop gave him a pair, while Buhaiov picked up a straight draw. The 3 turn was safe for Obst, but Buhaiov caught the Q on the river to make his straight and send Obst to the rail.

Brian Nachman: A7 All in
Safiya Umerova: AK

Umerova was in great shape with a dominating ace and she remained ahead on the 410284 runout to send Nachman to the rail and recoup some of the chips she had lost earlier this level.

Lynskey and Studniarz Split a Piece of Rohm's Blowup

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

David Rohm raised to 20,000 in the hijack and Alex Lynskey defended from the big blind. The flop came Q62 and both players checked to the J on the turn.

Lynskey led out with a bet of 45,000 and Rohm quickly called to see the 5 on the river. Lynskey splashed in another bet of 65,000 and Rohm snapped him off. Lynskey turned over Q9 for top pair and Rohm conceded the pot.

At this point, the dealer looked around for what to do next, and nearly burned and turned an ocean card before she was stopped by the players. The pot finally got pushed to Lynskey and the next hand started.

Rohm raised to 20,000 again and Sylwia Studniarz three-bet to 60,000 on his left. The action folded back to Rohm who four-bet jammed all in for 271,000. Studniarz asked for a count and then called to put Rohm at risk.

David Rohm: QJAll in
Sylwia Studniarz: A9

The flop came AJ7 to give both players a pair but it was Studniarz in the lead with a pair of aces. The 6 and 2 runout changed nothing and Rohm was eliminated with $20,000 to show for it.
