David Gonia raised it up in middle position and was called by Terrance Reid in the cutoff and Stephanie Morris in the small blind. The flop fell K♥6♦5♥ and Morris flicked in the last of her 26,000 chips. Gonia just called and Reid raised to 90,000. Gonia countered by shoving all in and Reid snapped off his stack of around 300,000.
Stephanie Morris: K♦10♦
Terrance Reid: A♥7♥
David Gonia: K♠Q♦
Two players flopped top pair but it was Reid with the only hearts in his hand. The turn was the 10♠ which improved Morris to two pair and the 8♠ on the river bricked out for Reid. Morris got her wish with a triple up but Reid was forced to leave the tournament area.
Joshua Boulton raised to 20,000 in middle position and Nazar Buhaiov three-bet to 55,000 in the hijack. James Obst then moved all in for 150,000 on the button and Boulton folded, while Buhaiov took a few minutes and eventually called to put Obst at risk.
James Obst: A♦J♣
Nazar Buhaiov: A♣10♥
Obst had Buhaiov dominated as the K♣J♦3♣ flop gave him a pair, while Buhaiov picked up a straight draw. The 3♦ turn was safe for Obst, but Buhaiov caught the Q♣ on the river to make his straight and send Obst to the rail.
Kiyoshi Eda got his final 120,000 into the middle preflop with Min-Sung Lee making the call to try and bust him.
Kiyoshi Eda: A♥6♠
Min-Sung Lee: A♣8♣
Lee had the best hand before the 5♥6♦7♥ flop was delivered, giving Eda a pair of sixes. Lee picked up a straight draw, but he was unable to find the help he needed on the Q♠ turn or Q♥ river.
Todd Birmingham opened to 22,000 in middle position and got one caller in Christopher Alcindor on the button.
They both saw a flop of 4♠6♥K♥. Birmingham continued with 15,000 and Alcindor smooth called to see one more card.
When the 8♣ turn dropped, Birmingham nonchalantly threw in 50,000, which prompted Alcindor to fold but with a question. Alcindor was wondering why Birmingham's betting pattern changed.
With two players seeing a board of 7♦9♥Q♠ and 113,000 in the middle, Yifu He checked from the hijack and Michael Mizrachi bet 44,000 from the button. He called.
He check-called a 106,000 bet from Mizrachi on the 2♣ turn before both players checked the 6♦ river. He just had ace-high with A♣J♥ while Mizrachi had second pair with A♠9♣ to take the pot.
Dan Sepiol opened to 22,000 from under the gun with A♥10♠, Stephen Dauphinais called from his direct left with K♣J♣ and Michael Mizrachi three-bet to 55,000 from the cutoff with K♠Q♦. Sepiol folded while Dauphinais called.
The flop came Q♣5♠9♥ and Dauphinais check-called a 39,000 continuation bet from Mizrachi.
Dauphinais check-called a 64,000 bet from Mizrachi on the A♣ turn. On the 3♠ river Dauphinais checked and Mizrachi bet 41,000 into the 363,000 pot. Dauphinais mucked and the pot was pushed to Mizrachi.
