Pisarenko and Szwarcberg Battle in the Blinds

Level 29 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Maksim Pisarenko limped in from the small blind with J2 and Tomas Szwarcberg checked his option with A4. The flop came 1032 and Pisarenko started with a check. Szwarcberg tossed in a bet of 225,000 and Pisarenko check-raised to 550,000. Szwarcberg called and the K landed on the turn.

Pisarenko led out with a bet of 900,000 with bottom pair which happened to be the best hand. Szwarcberg thought for a minute and then slid his cards to the muck, conceding the pot.

Beckenstein Good at Showdown

Level 29 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Joshua Beckenstein
Joshua Beckenstein

Joshua Beckenstein opened to 300,000 from under the gun and Chahn Jung defended in the big blind.

Jung checked on the flop of 25Q and Beckenstein continued for 350,000. Jung called. Both players then checked on the J turn and again on the 9 river. Jung showed 44, which was no good against the AJ of Beckenstein.

During the hand, the floor warned Beckenstein to keep his aluminum fidget toy off the felt and rail since it is a shiny device that could potentially reflect cards.

"It's about as shiny as this coin," protested Beckenstein.

Kings Hold for Schumacher

Level 29 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Johan Schumacher opened to 300,000 from under the gun and Sebastian Schulze flat-called with J10 in the hijack. Sejo Kasic was in the big blind and ripped all in for 7,525,000. Schumacher called off his stack of 3,800,000 and Schulze got out of the way.

Sejo Kasic: 99

Schumacher was in prime position to double up and the flop of Q103 left things clean. The 3 on the turn and the Q on the river caused no damage as Schumacher doubled up.

Will Kassouf is going back to the left feature table after the breaking of Table 643. He no longer has a 10-second shot clock and will be allotted his full time.

In one of his few hands on the regular tournament floor, Kassouf opened to 300,000 on the button and the blinds folded. Kassouf showed the 8 and claimed he had pocket eights.

Skogrand's Tournament Has Come to an End

Level 29 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Corey Skogrand
Corey Skogrand

Paul Gibbons made it 300,000 from middle position and Corey Skogrand shoved for 1,200,000 from the small blind. Gibbons took a few moments, then slid in the call to put Skogrand at risk.

Corey Skogrand: AQ All in
Paul Gibbons: A9

Skogrand had Gibbons dominated heading to the 105A flop, where both players hit top pair, but Gibbons picked up a flush draw. The 8 turn was safe for Skogrand, but the J river gave Gibbons the nut flush. Gibbons raked in the pot, while Skogrand headed to the rail.

Calderon Loses the Minimum with Queens

Level 29 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Leon Sturm raised to 240,000 from under the gun with K8 and Albert Calderon just called in the hijack with QQ. They went heads-up to a flop of K42 and both players checked to the 8 on the turn.

Both players checked again and the A landed on the river. Sturm finally led out with a bet of 600,000 and Calderon denounced how poorly he played his hand before sending his pocket queens into the muck.

Lee Waits For a Pay Jump, Spikes the Turn Anyway

Level 29 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Charles Lee
Charles Lee

Sam Darkin raised to 300,000 in the hijack before Charles Lee reraised to 1,200,000 in the cutoff, leaving one 25,000 chip behind. Darkin called and tossed in the chip on the A5J flop.

"I'm going to take three minutes," Lee said as the field was within two spots of a pay jump. The other players at the table agreed to let him take his time, and even began scouting out nearby tables to find anyone at imminent risk of elimination.

"Red shirt is all-in," a tablemate said as Kosaku Akashi was all-in for 2,100,000 against Nadav Barash. Akashi had AQ and was up against A10 as the board ran out Q2446 to give him two pair and the double up.

"I'll give you until the clock reaches 100," Darkin told Lee as the minutes continued to tick by. Darkin called the clock right on 100, and Lee eventually tossed in his last chip.

Sam Darkin: A5

Darkin had flopped two pair to take the lead, but Lee spiked the K on the turn to move in front. The river was the 2 and Lee doubled up.

Kassouf Back to His Old Tricks

Level 29 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Will Kassouf made his way back to the feature table after his outer table broke, and wasted little time jumping straight into the action. Sebastian Schulze raised to 300,000 in middle position with A4 and was called by Kassouf on his left with 66. Johan Schumacher also tagged along from the big blind with KQ.

The flop fell J77 and the action checked to Kassouf who bet 400,000. Schumacher folded but Schulze check-raised 1,300,000. Kassouf started his speech play again now that he had ample time to work with. More than two minutes passed by before he finally released his cards into the muck.

Nemetz Takes Out Kajtez, Tajiou Doesn't Care He Folded the Winner

Level 29 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Stefan Nemetz
Stefan Nemetz

Stefan Nemetz raised to 300,000 in the cutoff and Matija Kajtez moved all in for 2,800,000 on the button. Mounir Tajiou folded in the small blind, later saying he had two tens, while Nemetz called.

Matija Kajtez: AQ All in
Stefan Nemetz: KK

"Yes! That's why I'm me and you're you," Tajiou yelled out as he ran towards the rail. The flop, though, came 1044 and would've given him a full house.

"I don't give a f**k. I made my decision before that," he said. The rest of the board came 5Q and Nemetz's kings stayed in the lead to send Kajtez to the rail.

Le Hits the Rail

Level 29 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Hieu Le
Hieu Le

Hieu Le jammed his final 825,000 into the middle from middle position and Chad Power called from the cutoff to try and bust him.

Hieu Le: K8 All in
Chad Power: AQ

Lee was behind versus Power's ace-queen, and moved even further behind on the AQ8 flop as Power improved to two pair. Le couldn't find one of the two remaining eights in the deck on the 3 turn or J river. Le silently made his way to the payout desk, while Power moved up to almost twenty million chips.
