Richard Freitas raised to 400,000 in middle position and Eric Afriat three-bet to 900,000 in the hijack with A♥10♣. Diego Ponce then four-bet to 3,100,000 in the big blind.
Freitas got out of the way, but Afriat put in a five-bet to 6,900,000. Ponce tanked for a few minutes but eventually gave up K♦Q♦.
Michael Mizrachi opened the action with a raise to 400,000 holding A♠7♠ from middle position, and Kohei Arai made the call with 5♠5♥ on the button to see a flop.
The dealer spread 9♣7♥J♦, and Mizrachi continued with a bet of 200,000. Arai called without much hesitation.
The 5♣ hit the turn, and Mizrachi kept his foot on the gas with a larger bet of 675,000. Arai stuck around once again.
When the 2♣ completed the board, Mizrachi slowed down and checked. Arai seized the opportunity to take the lead, firing 2,200,000 into the pot. Mizrachi went deep into the tank but eventually slid his cards into the muck, conceding the pot to Arai.
Juan Carlos Vecino raised to 400,000 and picked up callers in Pedro Padilha and Michael Garner out of the blinds. The 9♦5♥4♥ flop was checked to the initial raiser and Vecino continued for 425,000. Padilha called and Garner then pushed all in for 2,825,000 to force out Vecino.
Padilha came to the same conclusion and sent the cards into the muck as well for Garner to chip up without showdown.
Michael Mizrachi kicked things off with a raise to 400,000 from under the gun. Action folded to Joshua Beckenstein in middle position; he made the call with A♣A♠.
Kosaku Akashi on the button then decided to go all in for his last 3,550,000 with 3♣3♥, prompting Mizrachi to fold and Beckenstein to snap-call.
The flop came down 8♥J♦10♦, offering no help for Akashi, and the K♥ turn and the 4♠ river didn't improve his hand, sending him to the rail.
Richard Freitas raised to 400,000 in middle position with K♥J♥ and Chad Power called in the big blind.
The flop came A♥Q♦2♥ and Freitas bet 400,000 with his combo draw. Power called and they saw the 9♣ fall on the turn.
Freitas bet 1,700,000 and Power again called. The river was the K♠, pairing Freitas and he bet 3,200,000. Power snap-folded A♣4♠, which was the best hand.
Mitchell Hynam raised to 1,300,000 in the cutoff, leaving just 75,000 behind, and Diego Ponce reraised to 2,500,000 on the button. The blinds got out of the way, and Hynam tossed in his last few chips.
Mitchell Hynam: K♣10♣
Diego Ponce: 6♠6♦
Hynam was racing for his tournament life but found no help on the Q♠3♣3♥5♦8♦ board as the Brit was sent to the rail in 49th place.
Nazar Buhaiov opened to 450,000 from under the gun and Tomas Szwarcberg three-bet to 1,300,000 in middle position. The action folded back to Buhaiov who called to see a flop of 10♥5♠4♣.
Buhaiov checked to Szwarcberg who continued with a bet of 750,000. Buhaiov called and the 8♥ landed on the turn. Buhaiov checked again and the action was back on Szwarcberg who thought for around a minute.
"Go ahead and take 12 minutes to play this hand," Will Kassouf said as he did laps around the table. "I get 10 seconds but you take as much time as you want, I don't care. Live poker, folks! This is what everyone wants to watch!"
Szwarcberg proceeded to slide out a bet of 2,200,000 and Buhaiov eventually slid out a call. The river was the 6♥ and both players checked. Buhaiov turned over A♠10♠ for top pair but Szwarcberg held A♥A♣ for a pair of aces to claim the pot.
Kassouf was then warned not to do another lap around the table or his penalty would be escalated to two rounds which he can ill-afford at this point.
Leon Sturm made it 400,000 to go with 4♦4♥ and was called by Pedro Padilha from two seats over with 8♠8♥ while everyone else folded. On the K♦J♦9♦ flop, both players checked, and the 6♥ followed on the turn. Sturm bet 700,000, and Padilha folded.
Theo Tran opened-jammed for 1,750,000 from the cutoff. Will Kassouf was in the small blind, and asked for a count despite knowing Tran covered his stack. Kassouf explained that he wanted to see how much he was jamming into Tomas Szwarcberg for.
"Nine big blinds like a boss," commented Kassouf, referencing Tran's stack.
Adam Hendrix, who has repeatedly called the clock on Kassouf, told the dealer, "Clock like a boss."
The floor came over to begin the countdown, with Kassouf calling before his time expired.
Will Kassouf: 9♠9♦
Theo Tran: A♦K♣
Kassouf was flipping for his tournament life, and essentially sealed the checkmark after making a set on the 9♣8♥4♠ flop. He filled up to confirm his double up after the 4♥ turn, ahead of the 5♦ river completing the board.
Kassouf then had some choice words for everyone at the table.
"Top set, full house, drawing dead, drawing dead," said Kassouf as he won the hand.
"Now we've got a game. I'm coming for all of you. I'm coming for every single one of you. I'm fearless, ruthless, and relentless. I will not stop until I get what I want."
"I will not rest until I've won, and God help any of you who dares to stand in my way. You have been warned."
