Neto Forces the Fold

Level 2

No-Limit Hold'em

Tom Koral checked the 7Q10 flop from the big blind, and Luiz Hota Neto fired a bet of 800 in the hijack. Koral called, and the K turn was revealed.

Another check from Koral was followed by a bet of 1,600 from Neto. That produced a quick fold from Koral, as Neto collected the pot.

Rodenborn Recovers Some Chips

Level 2

No-Limit Hold'em

Christophe Morbee checked the 7A7 flop from the small blind, and Filippos Stavrakis did the same in the big blind. Todd Rodenborn fired a bet of 1,500 from under the gun, with only Stavrakis calling.

The dealer flipped over the 8 turn, with both players checking through to the 3 river. Stavrakis led out for 2,500, and Rodenborn quickly called.

Stavrakis showed A9 for two pair, while Rodenborn tabled AQ for a better kicker to claim the pot.

Coleman Goes Runner-Runner Against Rodenborn in Brutal Runout

Level 2
Maxx Coleman
Maxx Coleman

Pot-Limit Omaha

Todd Rodenborn opened to 1,000 from the hijack and got two callers before Maxx Coleman potted from the big blind to 5,000. Rodenborn then four-bet pot to 17,000 and only Coleman called to create a bloated pot.

On the J82 flop, Coleman led for pot, Rodenborn raised, and Coleman called all-in for 49,700.

Maxx Coleman: 8754 All in
Todd Rodenborn: AA88

Coleman was in rough shape with middle pair and some backdoors against the middle set of Rodenborn. The 6 turn gave Coleman a flurry of outs with a wrap, before the 3 completed the board as Coleman made his straight and Rodenborn could not believe his luck as the table fell silent at the brutal runout.

Chris Moneymaker Eliminated Early from 2025 WSOP Main Event

Level 2
Chris Moneymaker
Chris Moneymaker

Chris Moneymaker’s Main Event run has come to an early end, for this year at least, after a dramatic full-house-over-full-house clash on Day 1a.

Moneymaker got involved in a deep river spot and ultimately made the call, but ran straight into a cooler. It's a tough exit for the 2003 WSOP Main Event champion.

Taylor Shows Down a Winner

Level 2

2-7 Triple Draw

Esther Taylor raised on the button, with Christophe Morbee making the call in the big blind. Morbee checked after the first draw, and called after Taylor continued with a bet.

Morbee took two cards and checked again, while Taylor drew one and bet. The call was made to the final draw, where both players stood pat and checked.

Morbee showed down his 10x7x6x4x3x, while Taylor tabled 9x7x4x3x2x to take down the pot.

Phillips Picks Off Weisman

Level 2
Tyler Phillips
Tyler Phillips

Pot-Limit Omaha

Tyler Phillips limped from the hijack and Jonathan Glendinning completed the small blind before Dylan Weisman potted to 1,200 from the big blind and only Phillips called.

On the A96 flop, Weisman continued with a half-pot bet of 1,500 and Phillips called.

Weisman sized up on the K turn as he announced pot for 6,000 and Phillips called again.

On the 2 river, Weisman took a moment before he announced pot again for 18,000 and Phillips snap-called.

Dylan Weisman: QJJ7
Tyler Phillips: A432

Phillips made the right call with just top and bottom pair as he collected the largest pot of the day so far.

Kessler Takes Fifth

Level 2

Razz

Allen Kessler: XxXx / 9x3x10x
Todd Rodenborn: XxXx / Ax8xQx - folded on fifth street
Thomas Taylor: XxXx / 2xJx - folded on fourth street

Allen Kessler and Todd Rodenborn called the bring-in, before Thomas Taylor completed on their left. Both calls were made, and Rodenborn fired on fourth street.

Only Kessler called to see fifth street, leading out with a bet. That was enough to take down the pot, as Rodenborn let his hand go.
