Welcome back to PokerNews, the official media partner of the 2025 World Series of Poker, and your go-to source for coverage of every WSOP bracelet event.
We’re heading into the holiday weekend with Event #84: $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em, a fast-paced two-day affair that kicks off Friday, July 4 at 5 p.m. local time inside Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas.
Players will start with 20,000 chips and 30-minute levels. Late registration will be open until the end of Level 10 (approximately 10:45 p.m.). Only one reentry is permitted per player.
Day 1 will play down to the final 15 percent of the field, with Day 2 resuming at 2 p.m. on Saturday and continuing until a winner is crowned. Breaks come every few levels, and a dinner break will be announced as needed.
Last year's event saw India's [Removed:532] top an impressive 1,424 field to earn his first bracelet and $189,661.
Although this was [Removed:550]'s career-first bracelet win, it was certainly no accident, as he explained to PokerNews after his win:
“I've been a professional, I think, for twenty years now. I'll be turning forty this year, and I've played in the World Series every year since I was twenty-one!”
Thanking his rail, [Removed:550] also added, “They’re more than my friends; they’re my students. I would like to give a shout-out to them. They have definitely helped me be the player I am. This feels good. It's been a rough summer, so this definitely feels good.”
