2025 World Series of Poker
Level: 23
Blinds: 15,000/30,000
Ante: 30,000
Mickael Vassallo went all in and was at risk for 115,000 from middle position. Jonathan Dimatteo was in the big blind and made the call, telling Vassallo "I only looked at 1". Which wasn't good news for Vassallo.
Mickael Vassallo: Q♥8♥
Jonathan Dimatteo: A♣5♠
The board ran out 4♥4♣10♠2♦6♣, ending Vassallo's impressive run in Event 84.
Action was picked up on the river, with a board reading 6♥A♠8♦9♦5♣. Bing Li had his remaining stack of 465,000 in the middle of the table.
Patrick Popowski looked at the board and started counting his chips, and said that he wouldn't make a hero call at that moment, and decided to fold. Li took down a significant pot.
Yuhang Chen opened the bidding with a huge raise to 250,000. He left just 10,000 behind. Jaekyung Sim was two doors down, in the cutoff, and with his proximity to a pay jump, he went deep into the tank. The clock was called, and after around 15 seconds he called, leaving just 20,000 behind. Every other player folded.
The dealer put out a flop of 5♥Q♥A♣ and Yuhang Chen put his final 10,000 into the middle. Sim called.
Yuhang Chen: A♦K♥
Jaekyung Sim: 10♦10♠
The 8♥6♦ runout gave Chen the double, and left Sim with just 10,000 chips. He managed to spin it up to 60,000, making the pay jump, before being eliminated.
Santiago Plante raised and Kyle Andrews shoved next to him for 185,000. It came back to Plante who sent a chip for the call:
Kyle Andrews: A♣8♣
Santiago Plante: K♣Q♦
Andrews had the best starting hand but the board revealed 9♥J♥7♣K♦Q♥ to give two pair to Plante who scooped the pot.
Mudit Malhotra opened to 40,000 and got a call from Konstantin Generalov on the button. Shawn Puri in the big blind reraised allin. Malhotra called, and Generalov moved out of the way.
Shawn Puri: K♥K♠
Mudit Malhotra: A♣A♠
The dealer showed the board 5♥K♦9♥J♦8♣
At first, Malhotra was ahead until the flop showed him otherwise, no more help from the board. And it was Puri who took the pot.
Ranganath Kanchi went all in and was at risk for 135,000 from under the gun and was called by Jeffrey Thoney in the big blind.
Ranganath Kanchi: 10♦4♦
Jeffrey Thoney: A♥8♥
The board ran out Q♠5♦6♥2♣2♦ sending Kanchi to the rail, as Thoney's stack continues to rise.
