Dieter Dechant opened the action with a shove from the hijack, putting his stack of 2,225,000 at risk. Justin Fawcett then announced a raise on the button. He didn't physically act for a while, eventually putting in his whole stack except a single 25,000 denomination chip. Everyone else folded.
Dieter Dechant: K♠9♠
Justin Fawcett: A♠K♥
Dechant was dominated, however he gained new outs despite losing a few also on the J♠2♠A♥ flop. He then gained a pair on the K♦ turn, but it was at an inopportune time as it removed yet another out for him. In what was quite the runout, the 5♠ river gave hum the flush for the win.
Yuan Ding raised to 1,000,000 from early position and found a call from Jae Choi in middle position. Ian Simpson then three-bet to 4,000,000 from late position, and action was back on Ding, who decided to four-bet all in for 8,800,000. Choi folded, and Simpson snap-called.
Yuan Ding: 10♠10♥
Ian Simpson: Q♠K♣
The flop was safe for Ding as it came 7♣A♦7♥, and when the 6♠ peeled off on the turn, he just needed to avoid a king or queen to stay alive. The J♠ dropped on the river, and Ding was pushed the pot for a full double up and more.
Roei Simantov raised from the hijack to 600,000, and Dieter Dechant called from the big blind. The flop came out with 4♣3♦9♥, and Dechant bet 1,500,000. Simantov went into the think tank and then moved all in for 4,300,000 effective. Dechant called.
Dieter Dechant: 6♣5♥
Roei Simantov: A♥3♠
Dechant was hoping for a straight with his open-ended option, and Simantov was sitting with a pair of threes.
The turn A♦, giving Simantov two pair, but the river 2♣ brought the straight to Dechant, who raked in his chips.
Action was folded to Dieter Dechant, who raised to 1,000,000 from the small blind, only for Delano Jackson to three-bet to 12,000,000, which was enough to put Dechant all-in. Dechant snap-called.
Dieter Dechant: A♥A♠
Delano Jackson: A♣6♣
A safe flop came for Dechant of 4♠8♠10♣, but then things started to look rocky when the 5♠ came off on the turn. The dealer then peeled off the 7♣ on the river to make Jackson a gutshot straight and send Dechant to the rail in a nasty manner.
Delano Jackson and Justin Fawcett found themselves heads-up on a flop of 10♦2♦A♣ with around 2,000,000 in the middle. Jackson had checked his option over to Fawcett, who bet out for 1,000,000. Jackson then check-shoved into Fawcett, covering his stack of just over 10,000,000. Fawcett went deep into the tank, eventually landing on a call.
Justin Fawcett: A♠J♠
Delano Jackson: K♦J♦
"Can we just chop this pot up?" said Fawcett, not wanting to have to fade the outs of Jackson. That he did, however, as Jackson completely missed on the 8♣3♣ runout, and Fawcett took in a mountain of chips.
Paul Grisi moved all in from early position for his last 1,025,000, and it folded around to Albert Ng in the big blind. Despite Ng only having to call 525,000 more, he was struggling with the call, as it would put a big dent in his stack. Ng decided to call, only to see the bad news.
Paul Grisi: K♦K♣
Albert Ng: 4♥3♥
The board came out with A♠6♦10♣3♦A♣, and Grisi's two pair was good for the win.
Grisi stated jokingly, "I haven't played nothing but kings.”
Eric Dillon opened the action with a raise to 800,000 under the gun. Two doors down, Thai Dinh put in a three-bet to 2,500,000, and everyone else got out of the way, putting action back on Dillon. Here, Dillon shoved his 14,425,000 stack into the middle, putting Dinh deep into the tank.
He thought and thought, and after a few minutes, he eventually tabled QxQx face up. Dillon laughed and showed QxQx for the other two queens. He happily picked up seven and a half big blinds with the joint-best hand.
