Khoi Le Nguyen opened the hijack to 1,000,000 and Alexandre Reard defended his big blind.

On the K♦J♣5♠ flop, Reard check-called a bet of 850,000 from Nguyen.

Reard checked again on the 9♦ turn as Nguyen sized up to 3,000,000, and Reard put in the call once again.

The 3♣ river checked through as Reard tabled J♠9♠ for two pair which was good as Nguyen quickly mucked and Reard collected a big one, much to the delight of the growing French rail.

Vinny Lingham kicked the action off with a raise to 800,000 from the hijack. Directly to his left, Khoi Le Nguyen three-bet to 1,800,000, and Lingham called.

The dealer spread a flop of 5♥Q♣J♥, and Lingham decided to lead out for 2,200,000. After a minute or so to think about the situation, Nguyen moved all in for 5,450,000. Lingham asked for a count and, once received, made the call.

The turn kept Nguyen in the lead, coming the 4♥.

Lingham then spun away from the table to celebrate with his rail when the river 8♥ landed, but was quickly calmed by the players at the table, who informed him Nguyen had rivered a flush, earning him a full double up.

Chih Fan has denied violating WSOP Rule 64 regarding approved electronic devices after receiving a one-round penalty for allegedly viewing a GTO chart at the table during Day 6 of the Main Event.

The Taiwanese player strongly denied the accusation at the time and has since released a statement saying he was watching “Doug Polk’s YouTube” during the hand in question. Despite the explanation, the ruling was upheld and the penalty enforced.

Fahredin Mustafov opened the button to 800,000 and Vinny Lingham called from the big blind.

On the 9♠6♣4♣ flop, Lingham check-called a bet of 700,000 from Mustafov.

Lingham checked again on the 3♦ turn before Mustafov announced a bet of 2,000,000 as he put a stack of blue T-100,000 chips into the middle. Lingham would burn through two time banks before he announced a raise to 4,500,000. Mustafov couldn't believe it as he sat back in his chair and rechecked his cards. He frustratingly made the fold as another pot was sent in the direction of Lingham.

Reard Asks For All of It

Alexandre Reard raised to 800,000 from the cutoff, and only Jun Obara made the call, defending his big blind.

The dealer fanned out a 7♠7♣Q♥ flop, on which Obara chose to check-raise, from Reard's 500,000, to 1,250,000. Reard called, and the two took a turn.

The J♦ turn joined the board, and Obara continued for 2,150,000. Again, Reard called, making the pot a substantial one.

The river added the 4♠ to the board, and Obara hit the brakes, choosing to check.

Reard responded by moving all in for 7,400,000. Obara snap-folded, much to the delight of the Reard's rail, who burst out cheers of support.

Martin Zamani Eliminated in 7th Place ($354,901)

Martin Zamani open-jammed 6,350,000 from middle position. It folded to Vinny Lingham in the small blind who burned through four time banks before he announced a call as the slightly covering stack, and the cards hit their backs.

Zamani needed some help to survive as the J♣10♦7♦ flop gave Zamani an open-ender but Lingham picked up a flush draw. Neither player would improve on the 3♣3♠ runout as Lingham's ace-high was good enough to eliminate Zamani in seventh.

Alexandre Reard opened to 800,000 from under the gun before Jun Obara put in a small three-bet to 1,625,000 from the the cutoff. It folded back to Reard who announced a four-bet to 3,000,000.

With the action back on Obara, he quickly announced all-in for 7,600,000, and Reard snap-folded.
