Level 2 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Vladimir Minko opened the button to 5,500 and Alex Kulev called in the small blind. In the big blind, Adrian Mateos squeezed to 30,000 and only Minko called.

On the A109 flop, Mateos led for 35,000 and Minko called.

Mateos slowed down with a check on the A turn before Minko announced a bet of 40,000, and Mateos called before the 4 river checked through.

Adrian Mateos: 98
Vladimir Minko: AQ

Mateos paired his nine on the flop but was always in trouble against Minko's ace-queen, and his trips won him another sizeable pot.

Oya Floats Negreanu and Gets There; Rezaei Exits Early

Level 1 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu from the hijack and Masashi Oya from the big blind were tangled in a substantial pot with the board reading Q969. Oya check-called a bet of 35,000 from Negreanu on the turn.

The A river quickly checked through as Oya tabled AJ for a rivered top pair which was good against what Negreanu said was king-queen.

"So gross man," Negreanu lamented, "It's so sick how you play."

Daniel Rezaei had lost a huge pot to Vladimir Minko, and he was eliminated shortly after after his jack-eight fell to the queen-four of Alex Kulev blind-on-blind, as he is the first casualty.
