Four-way on a flop of 5♠Q♠Q♣, everybody checked to Artem Tuliupa on the button who bet 140,000. Ankit Ahuja in the small blind check-raised to 290,000 and made the big blind and the under-the-gun fold. Tuliupa however made the call.
Ahuja fired a second barrel of 315,000 on the 9♠ turn. Tuliupa quickly folded.
The action started with a raised to 160,000 from Bahar Musa on the button, who got called by Peter Brown in the big blind.
The flop brought A♦10♠6♠ and after some thinking, Brown check-called Musa for 175,000. The 10♦ paired the board on the turn and Brown led out for 325,000. Musa called.
When the 7♦ completed the board, Brown decided to bet 650,000. Musa tanked for some time and shoved, but Brown quickly mucked his hand.
George Tomescu found himself in an odd situation where he's lucky to continue his tournament run but can't seem to build a good enough stack to relax despite getting two pocket pairs.
In a pre-flop all-in showdown with Andrew Yee, Tomescu felt hopeful about his odds when the hands were revealed.
George Tomescu: K♣K♥
Andrew Yee: A♣J♠
The board ran 7♥8♦10♥6♣6♠ and with no ace in sight, Tomescu doubled up building his stack to around 1,250,000 to continue his tournament run.
A couple of hands later, he was in another all-in showdown but this time against Tzur Levy.
Tzur Levy: A♥J♣
George Tomescu: Q♣Q♥
Levy's queens held on the flop of 3♠2♣9♠ and was looking to build his stack further with a chance to eliminate. But the turn A♦ came pushing Levy ahead and to secure Levy's double up, the J♥ was dealt on the river giving Levy a two pair.
Despite winning the hand and staying in the tournament, Levy had to ask Yee, "You said he was on a good run?" Tomescu calm told Levy not to say that as he was still in a good run.
The board 8♥A♠4♣K♦Q♣ was already dealt when Ryan Laplante bet 375,000 and Andrew Yee replied with a raise to 1,375,000.
Laplante went deep into the tank and ended up folding.
"You need to show the bluff," someone at the table joked to Yee, who replied with a smile, "You need to call next time to see!" before tossing his cards into the muck.
Joseph Cheong jammed for 660,000 from under the gun. Jordan Schneible in the button went deep into the tank, but it's only after the clock was called that he decided to three-bet to 1,600,000. The blinds folded and cards went on their backs.
Joseph Cheong: A♦10♣
Jordan Schneible: A♣4♣
Cheong kept the lead all the way through a board of 9♦Q♦K♣5♠2♣ and doubled up.
In a heads-up pot with around 1,200,000 in the middle, the board read 5♣2♣K♠9♦ and James Mackey sent a bet of 825,000. Jacopo Achille thought about his move and shoved for a total of 3,425,000. Mackey ended up calling with with 3,075,000:
James Mackey: K♥9♣
Jacopo Achille: K♣Q♦
Mackey had the bad surprise to see Achille had hit two pair on the turn and busted the 2♦ completed the board.
Inigo Naveiro limped from the small blind and Artem Tuliupa checked his option in the big blind taking them to the flop.
The dealer flopped 9♠8♠J♣ and both the blinds checked through the turn 9♥. On the river A♠, Naveiro shot 250,000 but got raised by Tuliupa to 560,000. Naveiro folded and conceded the pot to Tuliupa.
