Battistone With Some Momentum

Brian Battistone raised from the hijack with George Alexander calling from the small blind, and Dennis Weiss defending out of the big blind.

Three checks followed after the dealer spread out the flop of 8♥8♣Q♦. The 9♥ turn prompted Alexander to check, and Weiss to bet. Battistone called before Alexander tossed his cards into the muck.

The river came the K♦ and this time Weiss opted to check-fold to a bet from Battistone.

Anthony Zinno sat in the big blind and defended when Yuval Bronshtein tossed in a raise from the hijack. Both players checked the 7♣5♠7♠ flop before Zinno fired a bet on the 6♠ turn.

Bronshtein called to the 9♠ river, where he called another bet from Zinno. Zinno tabled A♥4♦3♥3♣ for the second nut low and a straight, winning the entire pot when Bronshtein mucked his cards.

Bradford Albrinck raised from early position. Jaswinder Lally called from the next seat and Ari Engel defended the big blind.

Engel checked the 4♦4♥10♥ flop and Albrinck bet. Lally called, but Engel folded.

The 9♠ turn checked through for the 10♦ to land on the river. Albrinck bet, and was met by a raise from Lally. Albrinck three-bet, and after a few moments, Lally made the call.

Albrinck turned over the nut boat with A♣10♣9♦2♠ and won the pot as Lally revealed A♠10♠J♣5♦ for trips.

Jeffery Stepaniuk raised under the gun, seeing James Chen call in the hijack. Robert Yass defended his big blind as the trio went to a flop of 6♣9♥5♠. Yass checked, Stepaniuk bet, and both Chen and Yass called.

Stepaniuk also bet the 10♦ turn, after which Chen moved all in for 5,500. After clarifying his options, Yass called, and Stepaniuk tossed in the few extra chips as well.

The river came the K♥. Yass checked for a third time, this time folding when Stepaniuk completed his triple barrel.

Chen then tabled A♠8♣7♦2♥ for a straight to the ten, tripling up as Yass' cards were quickly disposed of.

Brown bet again when the 6♥ landed on the turn. Ivey called to see the 6♦ peel off on the river. Brown bet, and after a few moments, Ivey tossed his cards into the muck.

Jackson called, but Battistone had other ideas and raised. Alexander mulled it over for a while before he decided to lay his cards down, after which a quick call followed from Jackson.

Battistone showed A♥Q♥9♣5♠ for a straight and an eight-five low, scooping the pot when Jackson mucked his cards.
