Ryan Bambrick Leads the Field for Day 2 of $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo Championship

After ten levels of poker so far, just 93 players remain in Event #9: $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship at the 2025 World Series of Poker inside the Horseshoe and Paris, Las Vegas. The Day 1 field of 183 has been trimmed by nearly half, and the survivors will return today at 1 p.m. for Day 2 of this four-day affair.

Leading the charge into Day 2 is Ryan Bambrick, who bagged a stack of 325,000. Not far behind are Austin Marks (320,000) and Micah Brooks (306,000), the only other players to start today north of the 300,000-chip mark.

Also returning for Day 2 is Robert Mizrachi with a stack of 242,000, which was good for seventh place overnight. All five of Mizrachi’s WSOP bracelets have come in mixed games, plus he made a deep run in this event last year, falling just short of the final table. Expect Mizrachi to be one to watch as play resumes today.

Day 2 kicks off at 1 p.m. with blinds at 2,000/4,000 and limits of 4,000/8,000. Five 60-minute levels are scheduled before the field shifts to 90-minute levels for the rest of the tournament. Late registration will remain open until the start of Level 12, giving players a final shot to jump in before registration closes around 2:15 p.m. The plan today is to play through eight levels before the survivors return on Monday, June 2, for Day 3.

Eddie Blumenthal limped the cutoff and Benjamin Miner followed with a call from the button. Eduards Rakuss raised from the big blind before Blumenthal three-bet. Miner and Rakuss called.

The action checked to Miner after the dealer put out a flop of J♥5♣10♠, and he bet. Rakuss and Blumenthal called.

When it checked to Miner again on the J♦ turn, he bet again, this time forcing two folds from his opponents.

An argument had broken out on a board reading 2♥A♣K♣4♥5♣ as to who had the best low in a heads up pot.

Fabrizio Gonzalez: J♥6♦6♠3♠
Robert Yass: A♦Q♥A♠6♣

Yass and several table mates tried to convince Gonzalez that Yass had the best low with a live six for half the pot.

Gonzalez almost consented to the table's decision but lucky for him, Robert Mizrachi had just been moved to the table so he explained that the three in Gonzalez's hand made him a better qualifying low, as he was also able to play down to the ace.

The floor was called over to confirm the low and the dealer pipped the cards before the wrong side of the table finally agreed they had been mistaken.

Gonzalez scooped as he had a six-high straight to take the high half of the pot as well.

Anthony Zinno limped the hijack and Phillip Hui called from the small blind. Jeremy Ausmus raised from the big blind, which both Zinno and Hui called.

Both the blinds checked to Zinno on the 10♦7♥5♣ flop and he bet. Hui and Ausmus called.

After it checked to Zinno on the A♣ turn, he bet, which only Ausmus called.

Ausmus checked for the last time when the Q♥ dropped on the river. Zinno bet, and Ausmus check-raised. Zinno called.

Ausmus showed A♦K♠J♥4♦ to win the high with a straight, and Zinno flipped up A♠J♣4♠2♦ for the second nut low, meaning they chopped the pot.
