Shoreman Jumps the Gun
Level 10
: Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Action was picked up on a flop of 4♠5♦K♣ with 16,000 in the middle. Small blind Arthur Morris checked it over to cutoff Jon Shoreman, who bet out for 12,000. Abteen “Uptown” Vaziri let go of his cards on the button, but Morris stuck around to see a turn.
When the 9♦ peeled off, Morris checked again, and this time Shoreman sized up to 49,000, leaving just over 10,000 behind. After just over a minute, Shoreman aggressively asked the dealer to call the clock, enough to make Vaziri on his left jump. Floor arrived, and the table agreed that Morris had not had sufficient time to act. Before the official clock started, Morris made the fold.
