Xixiang Luo
Xixiang Luo

Xixiang Luo bet 20,000 out of the big blind on a board of 8J6J, and Dario Alioto called from the button.

Luo was quick to bet 42,000 upon seeing the 9 roll off on the river. Alioto tossed in one chip to indicate a call, but then was forced to match the full bet after seeing Luo's rivered straight holding A795.

Michael Mizrahi won a poker tournament at Wynn Las Vegas on Sunday night while the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event played down to a final table.

The tournament, one of the last in the Wynn Summer Classic, was a $600 No-Limit Hold'em event that attracted 137 entries, creating a prize pool of $70,555. Mizrahi collected $19,049 after beating Rodruigo Cella heads-up.

You might be scratching your head trying to figure out how "The Grinder" played for 13 hours at Horseshoe in the WSOP Main Event and won a tournament at Wynn on the same day. Alex Foxen double-dipped earlier this summer in WSOP and Wynn events, and he even cashed in both at the same time.

Knecht Doubles Near Money

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Following a raise to 10,000 from Corey Wright on the button, Kyle Knecht potted it to 34,000 in the small blind, leaving just 23,000 behind. Wright made the call, then called again when Knecht shoved on the Q10J flop.

Kyle Knecht: AAQ3 All in
Corey Wright: KQ55

Knecht had flopped a Royal Draw, and improved to Broadway on the K turn. He held against Wright's outs on the brick 2 river to get him the double.

Scott Seiver

Scott Seiver made it 14,000 under the gun only to be three-bet to 48,000 by Xiaochuan Zhang on the button. When it got back to Seiver, he called with around 120,000 remaining in his stack.

Seiver and Zhang checked to the river on a board of KQ5J6 before Seiver bet 80,000. After a few moments of deliberation, Zhang called and was shown K1098 for a straight by Seiver. Zhang mucked, and Seiver dragged in the pot.

Harder Doubles Through Diaz

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Christian Harder got it all in preflop for just 22,000 in the big blind. David Diaz in the cutoff made the call.

Christian Harder: AQ52 All in
David Diaz: A587

Harder was ahead the whole way, and seemed unbeatable on the 24Q flop. The 6 turn brought in plenty of extra outs for his opponent, but the A meant top two would see him double.

Tsoupras Can't Beat Ingles Set

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Georgios Tsoupras
Georgios Tsoupras

Jared Ingles limped from the cutoff before Georgios Tsoupras raised to 23,000 from the button. Phil Hellmuth, who was sitting in the small blind, agonizingly folded his cards. Ingles limp-raised to 77,000, and Tsoupras jammed. Ingles called for his 98,000 total and the cards were turned over.

Jared Ingles: KKQJ All in
Georgios Tsoupras: A1087

Ingles flopped top set on the K98 flop, while Tsoupras had a straight draw. The 7 turn and 4 river didn't help Tsoupras, and Ingles pulled in the pot.

Luo Makes the Right Call

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

On the turn of a board that showed 4J62 and with around 95,000 in the middle, Malik Hanna jammed for 72,000 from the big blind and the action was on Xixiang Luo. Luo was seated on the button and was visibly distressed by the spot he was in. After a short, intense stare down, Luo made the call to put Hanna at risk.

Malik Hanna: KK42 All in
Xixiang Luo: J982

Both players had two pair, but Luo's was better. Hanna had a flush draw and some other cards he could hit to win the pot. However, the dealer dropped the A on the river, keeping Luo's jacks and deuces ahead, and Hanna headed to the rail.
