Straight Flush for Deak

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Ferenc Deak
Ferenc Deak

A player at the table recounted preflop action. In it, Ferenc Deak open-potted to 21,000 under the gun, and action folded round to Felipe Ramos in the small blind. He repotted to 69,000, and Deak slid in the call.

Action checked down all the way to the river, with the board reading 57663. Ramos checked for a third time, prompting Deak to bet out for 75,000. Ramos put in the call, but his AQXxXx was no good against Deak, who held the nuts with AQ54 for a straight flush.

Guagenti Gets Flushed Out

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Nick Guagenti
Nick Guagenti

On a flop of A210, and after a bet from the cutoff, Garik Tamasian potted it from the small blind for around 170,000. Nick Guagenti called for his last 100,000 from the big blind, forcing the other player in the hand to fold.

Nick Guagenti: AJ105 All in
Garik Tamasian: QJ76

Tamasian had a flush draw and straight draw against the top two pair of Guagenti. The 2 turn didn't change anything, but the 5 river gave Tamasian the flush he was looking for to win the pot and eliminate Guagenti.

Pantaleo Punts

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Giuseppe Pantaleo
Giuseppe Pantaleo

Brad Albrinck got all in for his remaining 150,000 chips from the big blind. The board read 79A and there was 125,000 in the middle. Both Giuseppe Pantaleo in the small and Billy Tarango, who was under the gun, made the call, bringing in the J on the turn. Giuseppe Pantaleo then shoved for 51,000, and Tarango stuck in the call.

Billy Tarango: AK98

The river 4 confirmed the main pot for Albrinck with his queen-high flush, with the side pot going to Tarango, who also had five diamonds. Pantaleo stood up, and started pacing around using expletives loudly. Before exiting the tournament area, he punted a bottle that then struck a member of the media team in the midriff, and carried on swearing as he headed to the payout desk.

Stenberg Doubles; Nguyen Busts

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Max Stenberg managed to get his last 48,000 into the middle against Manh Nguyen. Nguyen only had slightly more chips than Stenberg, so this pot was crucial for both players.

Max Stenberg: AK72 All in
Manh Nguyen : AAK3

Stenberg was behind to the pocket aces of Nguyen heading to the 9710 flop. The Q appeared on the turn and Stenberg was one card away from elimination. However, the river was the 7 to give Stenberg trip sevens, and he doubled up through Nguyen.

Nguyen was unable to spin up his short-stack and was eliminated a few hands later.

Cameron Tung raised to 20,000 under the gun and only Ian Matakis called from the big blind.

Matakis check-called a bet of 30,000 from Tung on the J3K flop.

The 7 turn got a second check from Matakis, and a second bet by Tung, this time for 105,000. Matakis check-jammed for Tung's remaining 250,000. Tung went into the tank for around a minute before folding and surrendering the pot to Matakis.
