Diaz Bets Wadhawan Off the Pot

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Gonzalo Diaz raised to 6,000 from middle position, only for Ankit Wadhawan to three-bet to 18,000 from the next seat. Action came back to Diaz, who made the call.

The flop came J32, and Diaz check-called Wadhawan's 16,000 continuation-bet for the players to see the 6 peel off on the turn. The action went check, check, and the dealer flipped over the 8 as the river.

Diaz bet 55,000, which sent Wadhawan briefly into the tank before he mucked his hand to send the pot to Diaz with no showdown.

Gress Gains from Raimondo

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Richard Gress opened to 6,000 on the button, and Mauro Raimondo called from the small blind. Blas Torres also defended his big blind, and the players went three-ways to the 210K flop.

The blinds checked to Gress, who moved out a 7,000 bet, and Raimondo made a quick call. Torres mucked his hand, and the pair continued heads-up to the 8 turn.

Both checked to see the 3 river, and Raimondo bet 12,000. Gress paused before flicking in a chip to call, and Raimondo tabled his top pair with K9. Gress showed K8 for two pair to take the pot.

Sawayanagi Spars With Waxman

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Matthew Waxman opened to 6,000 from middle position to see Daichi Sawayanagi three-bet to 18,000 in the hijack, and only Waxman called.

The flop rolled out 1084, and Waxman check-called a bet of 13,000 from Sawayanagi.

Both players checked the turn 5 to the river J, where Sawayanagi bet 52,000 after Waxman checked.

Waxman spent a couple of minutes pondering his decision, but in the end he opted to fold his hand, ceding the pot to Sawayanagi.

At another table, Benjamin Krauss was eliminated.

Big Double for Hutter

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Barry Hutter
Barry Hutter

The cards of Corey Wick were already in the muck and he had to pay off a double worth 174,500 to Barry Hutter on the other side of the table, who still had his AA exposed on a board of K82K3.

According to Hutter, they got it in preflop with Wick holding pocket queens including the Q to pick up a flush draw that eventually bricked.

One hand after the disastrous setback, Wick jammed the remainder of his short stack and picked up the blinds.

The action was caught on a 7310KQ river. With a modest 30,000 pot in the middle, Daniel Marcus bet 11,000 from the cutoff. Antonio Vargas then raised to 128,000 on the button, sending Marcus into the tank.

"You're not repping much," Marcus stated as he thought things through.

Eventually, he went against his intuition and folded his hand. Vargas immediately flung open 54, taking down the pot with his bluff.

Franco Busts; Browne Almost Triples

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Sonny Franco
Sonny Franco

Sonny Franco ripped in his stack for around 27,000 from the cutoff, and Gerry Fordham wasted little time moving all in over the top from the button for roughly 120,000. Loren Browne woke up with a hand in the big blind and called off her last 40,000 or so, giving Fordham the chance to score a double knockout.

Sonny Franco: A7 All in
Loren Browne: AK All in
Gerry Fordham: QQ

Browne took the lead on the K92 flop after pairing her king, leaving Fordham needing one of the two remaining queens to eliminate both opponents.

The 5 turn left Franco drawing dead, prompting him to tap the table and begin packing up his belongings.

Fordham had just one card to find a queen, but the 8 was a brick, allowing Browne to nearly triple up while Franco made his exit from the event.

Pahino Falls Blind vs. Blind

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Ruben Pahino moved all in from the small blind for 28,000 and was instantly called by Steven Markowitz in the big blind.

Ruben Pahino: 88 All in
Steven Markowitz: AA

A perilous situation became almost impossible to survive, as the dealer spread a 56A flop.

The Q turn sealed Pahino's fate, and he was up and out of his seat before the 10 had even completed the board.
