Elayday Picks up a Pot; Givens Gets a Lesson in Historical Figures

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Loai Elayday
Loai Elayday

Joey Weissman raised to 60,000 from early position, with Alen Bakovic calling in the hijack and Loai Elayday coming along from the blinds.

After two checks on the 836 flop, Bakovic fired 135,000, which only Elayday called.

Both players checked the 7 turn and 10 river. Elayday tabled 75 for a pair of sevens to win the pot.

As the hand was playing out, Will Givens returned to the table singing and breaking into a little jig. After taking his seat, he looked at the dealer, stunned and said, "You look like that famous chemist!"

After a brief pause, a tablemate corrected Givens, "You mean Albert Einstein, the famous physicist."

Jattin Shows O'Neal a Straight

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Farid Jattin opened to 65,000 first to act and was called by John O'Neal from directly behind for a heads-up pot.

Both players checked on the J89 flop and then Jattin put a hefty 220,000 bet into the middle on the 2 turn, which O'Neal called.

The Q completed the board and Jattin bet 260,000. O'Neal didn't take long to look him up and Jattin tabled A10 for a straight. O'Neal couldn't beat it and sent his cards into the muck.

Ryan Miller

Philipp Hasenburger raised to 60,000 in the hijack. Alex Foxen called in the small blind before Ryan Miller defended his big blind.

Hasenburger continued for 55,000 on the 52K flop. Foxen then check-raised to 160,000, and Miller check-called cold. Hasenburger also came alongto the 7 turn, where Foxen slowed down with a check.

Miller then jammed in his stack of 725,000, forcing Hasenburger's AJ ct out of the pot. Foxen tanked for minutes on end before he called with the covering stack.

Ryan Miller: J10 All in
Alex Foxen: 22

The 10 river did not pair the board, doubling up Miller and leaving Foxen on less than 25 big blinds.
