Smith Calls Down Hubbard

Level 27 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 120,000 ante

With a dead small blind, Stephen Hubbard opened to 200,000 from the cutoff, Dylan Smith called on the button, and Gabriel Paul came along from the big blind.

Paul drew two, while Hubbard and Smith took one.

It checked to Hubbard who bet 600,000. Smith put in the call and Paul let his hand go. Hubbard had a pair of eights as Smith tabled Qx8x7x6x5x to collect the pot.

Gabriel Paul raised to 175,000 from the cutoff and it was folded to Dylan Smith, who annonced he was all in from the small blind. Timothy Wong called all in for his last 400,000 from the big blind and Paul called all in as well for approximately 1,500,000.

Smith drew one and Wong went into the tank.

"Give me a sec," Wong said before eventually opting to take two.

Paul stood pat and hands were revealed.

Timothy Wong: 10x4x3xAll in
Gabriel Paul: 9x5x4x3x2xAll in
Dylan Smith: 8x7x3x2x

Wong was already drawing dead against Paul's pat nine and turned over KxJx. However, Smith was drawing live to an eight for the double knockout.

It wasn't meant to be, however, as Smith peeled a Kx — awarding Paul more than a double up and eliminating Wong in fourth place.

Even More for Hubbard

Level 27 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 120,000 ante

Dylan Smith opened to 160,000 from the cutoff and Stephen Hubbard called in the big blind.

Hubbard took two and Smith one.

Hubbard checked it over to Smith who fired out a bet of 500,000, which was snap-called by Hubbard. Smith conceded as Hubbard showed 9x8x4x3x2x for the winner.

Smith was able to get some back from Gabriel Paul after making a ten-seven against his opponent's ten-eight and getting paid on a 550,000 bet on the end.

Timothy Wong raised to 175,000 on the button and Stephen Hubbard defended his big blind.

Hubbard drew two and Wong drew one. Wong then called a 350,000 bet from Hubbard, who fanned out 10x6x4x3x2x. Wong sent his cards into the muck upon seeing it and Hubbard was sent the pot.

Shortly after, Hubbard raised to 225,000 from the small blind and Smith called in the big blind.

Both players drew two and Hubbard checked to Smith, who bombed approximately 700,000 into the pot. Hubbard tanked a while before sticking in calling chips and Smith showed he held a pair of tens.

Hubbard revealed Jx8x3x2x2x for a pair of deuces and was awarded a nice pot for his gutsy call.

Anthony Lamps

Anthony Lamps opened to 150,000 from the cutoff before Stephen Hubbard three-bet to 550,000 from the small blind. With the action back on Lamps, he jammed for around 2,900,000. Hubbard took some time before he put in a stack to call as the covering stack.

Hubbard drew one and Lamps stood pat.

Anthony Lamps: 10x8x5x4x2x All in
Stephen Hubbard: 8x4x3x2x

Lamps was a favorite with his pat ten, but Hubbard was able to peel a 9x on his draw, sending Lamps to the rail in the largest pot of the tournament.

Slow Action
