Action was picked up on the flop of Q♣J♣2♥, and the pot was about 400,000.
Alfie Adam remarked, "You can get two bounties in this pot," to Mike Arzoumanidis, who had both players covered in chips. Thomas Cazayous was all in preflop from the small blind. Adam was on the button and moved all in for 100,000 after Arzoumanidis bet 75,000 on the flop. Arzoumanidis called.
Thomas Cazayous: 9♦6♥6♠5♦
Alfie Adam: A♠Q♠8♥7♣
Mike Arzoumanidis: A♦A♥K♥J♣
The turn Q♥ and the river 2♠ brought the full house for Adam, which knocked out Cazayous and won the pot.
Action folded to Martin Kabrhel on the button, who raised to 120,000, and it was folded to Magnus Edengren in the big blind, who raised pot to put himself all in, Kabrhel snap-called.
Magnus Edengren: Q♠J♥8♣5♥
Martin Kabrhel: A♦K♥10♦6♥
No help for Edengren on the 8♠10♣2♠7♦10♥ run out, which gave Kabrhel trips and Edengren was sent to the rail.
Old school suggest new rule.
After Stuart Mccormack raised to 150,000 from middle position and Freddy Deeb called from the cutoff, action stalled while players pondered their next action.
The field was at a spot where the next pay jump was worth a little over $500.
Deeb, who won the first of his two bracelets 30 years ago, made a suggestion.
"I think they should make a rule that if you think for more than a minute, you must call or raise, you cannot fold," he said.
Just about then, John Riordan, shortstacked and in the big blind, moved almost all in with 295,000 of his 300,000-chip stack.
McCormack came over the top for a pot-sized raise, sending the action to Deeb.
"Take your time," Riordan said.
While Deeb did not take much time to fold, Riordan sat on his 5,000 chip for some time before finally adding it to the pot.
John Riordan: 8♥7♥7♦6♠
Stuart Mccormack: K♦K♣4♣2♦
Riordan survived with a straight in a runout of 4♥5♠9♠2♥7♣.
Ten minutes later, six other players had busted out and he was still alive.
Niko Heggelmann moved all in for 285,000 from the small blind, and Paulo Villena Gini called from the big blind.
Niko Heggelmann: A♠K♠J♦2♥
Paulo Villena Gini: A♥Q♥8♦6♦
The dealer spread out 2♣K♦K♥8♥3♣, and Heggelmann hit trip kings for the win.
Level: 26
Blinds: 30,000/60,000
Ante: 60,000
Thomas Cazayous raised from the cutoff to 175,000, and Brandon Meister called from the big blind. The flop came out with 6♣Q♦Q♠. Meister checked to the preflop raiser, Cazayous, who bet 125,000. Meister called.
Both players checked the turn5♦.
On the river Q♣, Meister moved all in for 315,000 effective, and Cazayous went into a long think tank, and eventually folded.
Cazayous stated he held aces and that Meister could only be representing the queen for quads. Meister did not confirm or deny the allegation.
