"What Are The Odds, Seven Way Pot?" Where Avina Becomes The Chip Leader
Prior to his raise from under the gun, Martin Kabrhel stated, "Who is in the small blind, Erik boy?"
Kabrhel raised from under the gun to 400,000, Philip Ardire called from middle position, David Avina called from the hijack, Scott Bosart called from the cutoff, Randy Jacks called from the button, Erik Cajelais called from the small blind, and Matthew Newcombe called from the big blind. Seven players headed to the flop.
Kabrhel announced, "What are the odds, seven-way pot?"
The flop was 10♠4♣8♥, and Kabrhel led out for 825,000. Ardire folded, but David Avina moved all in for 3,150,000. Everyone else quickly folded, and Kabrhel called.
David Avina: A♣J♣10♣8♠
Martin Kabrhel: A♥J♦10♥7♠
The turn 4♦ and the river 6♦ did not affect the outcome, and Avina won with his two pair.
Kabrhel asked the dealer to flip his cards back over to make sure he didn't win. Avina did win and took the chip lead in the tournament
