Balakrishna Patur opened to 60,000 from middle position and picked up two callers in Preston McEwen on the button and Joshua Wang in the small blind.
On the J♣K♦3♠ flop, Wang checked, and Patur continued for 50,000. McEwen called while Wang got out of the way.
The K♣ turn paired the board and Patur fired another 50,000. Once again, McEwen called.
After the 5♦ completed the board, Patur stayed with the same sizing and bet 50,000 for a third time. This time, McEwen raised to 475,000. Patur confirmed the amount with the dealer before making the call.
McEwen tabled K♠Q♣ for trip kings. It was enough to win the pot as Patur quietly sent his cards into the muck, adding another healthy pot to McEwen's growing stack.
The hand was picked up on the turn with the board reading 5♦5♣9♠6♦.
Donovan Dicken bet 75,000. Christos Argyriadis raised it to 250,000.
Dicken responded with another raise, this time to a hefty 575,000 chips.
Argyriadis took his time, but made the call.
When the 4♠ hit on the river, Dicken moved all-in with more than 1,000,000.
Argyriadis quickly folded.
Lexy Gavin-Mather opened to 60,000 from the hijack and Malcolm Franchi defended his big blind.
Both players checked the 9♠5♦4♥ flop.
The 10♦ turn saw Franchi take the lead with a bet of 90,000, and Gavin-Mather made the call.
When the 7♦ completed the board, Franchi fired again, this time for 225,000. Gavin-Mather took some time to think before announcing all in. The pressure was enough to get the job done, as Franchi quickly folded and surrendered the pot.
The hand was picked up as Bryce Alder slid three stacks of reds all-in on the turn with the board reading J♣3♦K♦8♦. Francisco Sanchez, one of the chip leaders, made the call.
Bryce Alder: 6♣6♦
Francisco Sanchez: J♦J♥
When the cards were flipped over, Alder got the bad news that he was drawing dead because Sanchez had a set of jacks and the higher flush draw. The meaningless river 8♥ gave Sanchez a full house.
Victor Kiong raised to 60,000 from middle position, only to face a three-bet from Frank Degeorge in late position to 160,000.
Action came back around to Kiong, who went deep into the tank, before he announced that he was all in for 635,000. Degeorge then went into the tank briefly, and double checked the count before he made the call to put Kiong at risk.
Victor Kiong: A♠A♥
Frank Degeorge: Q♠Q♥
Just the door card Kiong wanted to see on the A♦K♦9♦ flop, but when the J♣ peeled off on the turn he needed to dodge a ten to stay alive. The river bricked out with the 7♥ and Kiong was shipped the pot for a healthy double up.
Lexy Gavin-Mather was the first to act and never stopped firing. She opened under the gun for 60,000.
Philip Almond, who was in the big blind, made the call. he did likewise when she fired 80,000 on the flop of 10♣4♣3♣ and 90,000 on the turn 7♦.
When the 2♣ hit on the river, Gavin-Mather kept the pressure on betting another 60,000. That time Almond let his hand go.
Action folded to Victor Kiong on the button, who moved all in for 365,000. Jinyoung Park then reshoved from the small blind, putting his 1,175,000 stack at risk. Antonio Vargas was next to act in the big blind and asked for a count before making the call, setting up a three-way all-in.
Victor Kiong: A♥2♦
Jinyoung Park: Q♦J♦
Antonio Vargas: A♦Q♥
The board ran out A♠6♥7♠6♠6♦, giving both Kiong and Vargas aces full of sixes. The two players split the main pot, while Vargas collected the side pot.
Park was unable to improve and was eliminated from the tournament.
Preston McEwen opened to 60,000 and got called by button player Balakrishna Patur, leading them to the flop.
The flop came 10♣6♦5♥. McEwen check-called Patur's 150,000 bet. The same thing happened when the 5♦ fell on the turn. After the action was passed to him, Patur fired another 250,000 into the pot, which McEwen called.
Finally, on the 3♥ river, after a third check, Patur kept the pressure with a 350,000 bet, making McEwen pause, clarify how much the bet was, then look at his chips. He picked the amount and set it aside, then put it back on his stack. After mulling things over for a few seconds more, he made the call.
Patur tabled J♥J♣ prompting McEwen to fold his hand.
Jonathan Stephens raised to 30,000 from middle position. Jamie Dwan moved all in for 285,000 from the button. Stephens made the call.
Jamie Dwan: A♠J♠
Jonathan Stephens: A♥Q♣
Dwan was the only one to get a piece of the runout 10♦3♣J♣9♦5♥, and he got the double-up with a pair of jacks.
