"Hit and Run"

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Anthony Marquez opened to 60,000 from under the gun, which Zexiang Sun called in the cutoff. Daniyal Gheba then three-bet to 225,000 from the button. With the action back on Marquez, he moved all in for 775,000.

Both Sun and Gheba quickly folded.

As Marquez raked in the pot, he was advised that he was on the move to balance the tables.

"Hit and run," one of his tablemates remarked.

Mugar Puts a Dent in Ruban

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Ivan Ruban opened to 55,000 from early position before Peter Mugar chose to re-raise to 175,000 on the button. Ruban called.

Ruban checked the 32J flop, which led to a bet of 125,000 from Mugar. Ruban was undeterred and made the call.

The 2 turn was checked by Ruban. Mugar kept up the pressure with a bet of 175,000.

Ruban called to bring the 6 river. Mugar moved all in after it was checked to him for 355,000. Ruban asked for a count before he made the call.

Mugar showed KK, which was enough to take down the pot as Ruban showed KJ for an inferior pair of jacks.

Mugar Waves the White Flag

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Myles Mullaly raised to 50,000 from the cutoff, and Peter Mugar defended his big blind.

Both players checked on the 478 flop, tempting Mugar to take a stab on the 4 turn. He put 100,000 into the middle, but an undeterred Mullaly called.

The A completed the board, and the action was checked through once again.

Mugar flipped over J10 for jack-high, and Mullaly pulled in the pot with his 66.

Big Bet on River from He

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

The blinds duked it out after Yifu He limped from the small blind before Kamel Mokhammad raised to 85,000 from the big blind.

He called and sent the blinds to a flop of 753. He check-called the bet of 70,000 from Mokhammad.

The A turn led to another check from He before Mokhammad bet 115,000.

He stuck around with a call to bring the 6 river.

He gave it some thought before he opted to put out a bet of 450,000. Mokhammad gave it little consideration before he pitched his cards in the muck to yield the pot to He.

Lin Goes on a Journey

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Ren Lin
Ren Lin

Ren Lin opened to 50,000 from the cutoff and found himself facing an all-in from Nicholas Seward from the small blind. The bet was for 370,000, and it sent Lin into a tailspin.

After taking some time to mull over the situation, which included a lot of self-commentary, he elected to fold, which he followed with his trademark slap of his own hand, as a jovial self-punishment.

Lin got straight back on the horse, raising to 50,000 again on the following shuffle. This time, Yifu He called from the big blind.

The dealer spread a A1010 flop, and He check-called a bet of 25,000 before the action checked through on the 7 turn.

The action was checked through again on the K river, and when He flipped over his KJ, Lin mucked his cards.

Williams mulled it over for a while and then came to the conclusion to call.

Sued tabled the nuts holding A10 to win the pot, and left Williams with less than six big blinds.

Alex-Barton folded immediately, but Hatmaker gave it a little more thought. After a few moments, he opted to return his cards to the dealer, and Williams pulled in the pot uncontested.

Wilson is No More

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Brock Wilson
Brock Wilson

Brock Wilson shoved for approximately 140,000 on the button. Justin Saliba made the call out of the big blind to put Wilson at risk.

Brock Wilson: Q8All in
Justin Saliba: Q7

Wilson was poised for a double-up, but the flop had other plans when it came 957 to give Saliba a pair of sevens. Wilson was still alive with a straight draw and could hit his kicker.

The A turn and A river changed nothing and Wilson's tournament run came to a close.
