Matakis and Plesuv Run Out of Time

Level 8 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Catching the action on a Q26J4 river, Ian Matakis checked from the cutoff to Pavel Plesuv on the button. After spending his last time bank, Plesuv then fired a pot-sized bet of 350,000.

Matakis went deep into the tank in response, spending his own last two time extensions while thinking things through.

Eventually, Matakis reached the final five seconds of his shot clock. He opted to relinquish his cards voluntarily, sending the sizable pot Plesuv's way.

The 4 river then completed the board. Schwaederle checked again, seeing his fellow Frenchman pile in an overbet of 150,000. Schwaederle called almost instantly.
