Aerts Survives But Doesn't Double

Level 13 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

When the action folded to Sergio Aido in the small blind, he moved all in, covering the stack of Pieter Aerts in the big blind. Aerts peeled his cards and was happy to put his 520,000 into the middle.

Pieter Aerts: KQ All in
Sergio Aido: 76

The 104K flop gave Aerts a commanding lead, but Aido picked up some outs to win on the 8 turn. The 2 river rendered each of their hole cards irrelevant, as they chopped the pot with the flush on the board.

Straver Gets One Through

Level 13 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Johannes Straver raised to 80,000 in middle position, which Fabian Gumz called in the hijack before Biao Ding three-bet to 280,000 from the cutoff. The action returned to Straver, who moved all in for 1,120,000. Gumz folded immediately, but it took Ding a little longer to decide. Ultimately, he chose to fold, sending some of his chips to Straver and some of his time extensions to the dealer.

Ignacio Moron
Ignacio Moron

Alex Kulev opened to 80,000 from the hijack, which Andrew Lichtenberger called in the cutoff. Ignacio Moron then put in a three-bet to 280,000 on the button. Kulev called, but Lichtenberger folded.

The dealer provided a Q58 flop, and Kulev checked. Moron continued with a bet of 225,000, and Kulev sprang into action when an all-in check-raise for 915,000, which Moron quickly called.

Alex Kulev: AQ All in
Ignacio Moron: AA

Kulev had just two outs, neither of which came to fruition on the J turn or 9 river.

Clemen Deng raised to 60,000 in early position, which both Aleksejs Ponakovs and Santhosh Suvarna called from the button and big blind.

The action checked to Ponakovs on the 42J flop, who bet 55,000. Suvarna called before Deng check-raised to 225,000. Ponakovs folded his 87, but Suvarna called.

The turn brought the 6, and Suvarna checked in flow to Deng, who barrelled for a further 500,000. Undeterred, Suvarna called.

The A completed the board, and this time Suvarna opted to lead out, putting 450,000 into the middle. Deng called, but it was bad news for him. Suvarna tabled 96 for a rivered flush. It was a particularly bad river for Deng, who had rivered a set with his AA.

Soverel Latest to Fall

Level 12 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

The action was joined as Sam Soverel was all in and at risk preflop for his remaining 135,000 versus Clemen Deng.

Sam Soverel: A6 All in
Clemen Deng: A7

The 1055 flop offered some chop opportunities, but the 7 turn laid rest to those, and Soverel's race was run before the K had even completed the board.
