The writing was on the wall for Hellmuth when the dealer spread an ace-high 5♦A♥5♥ flop. The Q♣ turn offered an inside straight draw to survive, but the J♣ river was unforthcoming, and Hellmuth was sent to the rail.
Matthias Eibinger raised to 60,000 in early position, which only Santhosh Suvarna called on the button.
The action checked through on both the 7♣6♥2♣ flop and the 9♦ turn.
Eibinger picked up the betting lead on the K♣ river, putting 95,000 into middle. Suvarana called, but it was bad news as Eibinger tabled K♥Q♦ for top pair, besting the A♥9♥ of Suvarna.
Brian Breck limped and Fabian Gumz called in the small blind. The big blind checked.
The flop was Q♣10♣3♣ and it checked to Breck who bet 75,000. Gumz was the only caller.
The pair checked the 4♣ turn and the river was the 3♠. Gumz bet 110,000 and Breck folded.
