Chino Rheem opened to 2,500 from under the gun and Christopher Costa in the hijack, Ryan Hoenig in the cutoff, and Joseph Ritzie in the big blind.
The flop read Q♣2♠7♣ and action checked through to the turn 9♠ where action checked over to Rheem who bet 8,000 and Hoenig called. Ritzie potted to 45,000 and Rheem called while Hoenig called to put himself at risk for 22,000.
On the river A♦, Ritzie moved all in for 47,000 effective and Rheem called.
Ryan Hoenig: J♠10♥8♥4♠
Chino Rheem: A♠Q♦4♣2♣
Joseph Ritzie: A♣9♣9♦4♦
Ritzie's set was good to eliminate Rheem in the side pot while Hoenig took half of the main pot with the 8-7-4-2-A low.
Action picked up with tons of chips finding their way into the middle preflop. Christopher Carlson had four-bet to 47,800 on the button, and he was called by both Sam Soverel from the big blind and Jason Mercier from the cutoff.
On the 9♥8♣6♥ flop, Soverel put his final 23,000 into the middle, Mercier committed his last 2,800, and Carlson called covering.
Jason Mercier: 4♦3♣2♦2♣
Sam Soverel: A♣J♠9♠4♣
Christopher Carlson: A♠A♥10♠4♠
Carlson had bare aces without any backup, while Mercier had the best low draw, and Soverel flopped a pair with backdoor high potential.
Incredibly, the board ran out Q♠K♥, and the lone pair of aces were good enough to scoop, and Carlson dragged a massive one.
Action was picked up on the turn in a pot between Joao Vieira in the big blind and Ren Lin from under the gun.
With a board reading K♦J♦6♣5♥, and a pot containing 26,600, both players got their chips in with Ren Lin all in and at risk for 82,900.
Ren Lin: K♠Q♣10♥5♠
Joao Vieira: A♣5♦5♣4♣
On the river K♥, Lin filled up to double at the expense of Vieira.
Paul Fehlig from middle position and Lawrence Brandt from the hijack both had 5,000 in front of them as they saw the K♥K♣7♥ flop. Brandt had bet for a small size before Fehlig check-raised to 10,000, and Brandt called.
On the 9♦ turn, Fehlig bet 25,000, Brandt jammed, and Fehlig put in the final 8,000.
Paul Fehlig: A♦K♠10♦4♦
Lawrence Brandt: A♠A♣7♦7♣
Brandt had flopped a full house against the trips of Fehlig, who still had outs to make a higher boat. However, the river was the 6♠ and he was eliminated.
Sean Remz opened to 3,500 under the gun and was called by Ryan Bambrick in middle position, Joey Couden on the button, and Mike Gorodinsky in the big blind.
The 9♣3♦2♦ flop checked through to the 10♠ turn which saw Gorodinsky lead for 10,000. Remz quickly got out of the way, but both Bambrick and Couden called.
The river brought the 5♠ as Gorodinsky downsized to 7,000, almost exactly 15 percent, and only Bambrick called. Gorodinsky tabled A♥10♣4♦3♠ for the nut low with two pair, as he used all four of his cards to scoop.
Level: 8
Blinds: 600/1,200
Ante: 1,200
Action was picked up on the flop A♠J♠6♦ and Danny Chang in the cutoff bet 6,000 to see Philip Shing call.
On the turn 7♦, Chang bet 16,000 and Shing called again.
Chang moved all in on the river 6♥ for 37,800 effective and Shing called to put himself at risk.
Philip Shing: J♣5♥4♥2♠
Danny Chang: K♠8♠4♦2♥
Shing's pair of jacks was good for the high and they chopped the low.
Jason Mercier from the small blind, Christopher Carlson from the big blind, Sam Soverel from early position, and Justin Liberto from the cutoff had all contributed 5,000 preflop.
On the 7♣6♠6♥ flop, Mercier led for 8,000, and only Carlson called.
The turn was the 8♠ as Mercier bet pot of 37,000, Carlson was all in 44,000, and Mercier called.
Christopher Carlson: A♥5♠4♣2♥
Jason Mercier: A♦A♣5♥4♠
Both players held the bottom end of the straight, but Carlson also had ace-deuce for the low. The river was the Q♣, and Carlson got three-quarters.
Action was picked up on the flop reading A♣Q♦7♣ when Mack Lee in the big blind checked over to Marco Johnson in late position who bet 11,000 and Robert James in the hijack called. Mack Lee moved all in for 20,700 and both Johnson and James called.
On the turn 3♥, Johnson moved all in for 12,900 effective and Robert James called to put himself at risk.
Mack Lee: K♣K♠8♣4♦
Robert James: 7♥4♥3♠2♠
Marco Johnson: A♠A♦4♣2♦
A 6♣ peeled off on the river and Lee's nut flush was good for high while Johnson quartered James in the side pot. In the main pot both James and Johnson shared the same low.
