Dehkharghani Hits Runner-Runner to Stay Alive

Level 26 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Ray Dehkharghani
Ray Dehkharghani

Action folded to Ray Dehkharghani in the small blind who made up, only for Phillip Mighall in the big blind to raise to 120,000. Dehkharghani made the call.

On the 4710 flop, Dehkharghani led out for pot of 375,000. Mighall instantly re-potted, which was enough to put Dehkharghani all in. He snap-called.

Ray Dehkharghani: J974 All in
Phillip Mighall: KK107

Dehkharghani was way behind and needed help. The 8 gave him some hope and, when the 6 peeled off on the river, he had hit the runner-runner straight to outdraw Mighall and get shipped the pot.

Level 25 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

The remaining 24 players are now on their last 15-minute break of the day.

Two more levels will be played when they return and then the remaining players will bag up their chips for the night.

Coleman Sends Pinson Packing

Level 25 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Aaron Pinson raised to 175,000 from the cutoff. Maxx Coleman re-raised to 550,000 from the big blind. Pinson called, leaving only 225,000 behind.

"You want to bet in the dark?", said Pinson jokingly before the flop came.

The flop fanned out K66 before Coleman put Pinson all in. Pinson called to put himself at risk.

Aaron Pinson: KQ74All in
Maxx Coleman: AJJ10

Pinson was ahead on the flop after he paired his king to take the lead.

The 3 was safe, but the river was not when the A peeled to give Coleman a pair of aces and the pot as Pinson was eliminated from contention.

Baby Flush Good for Yunis

Level 25 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Nick Yunis raised the pot from under the gun to 125,000 and found calls from Jorryt van Hoof in the hijack and Zdenek Zizka in the big blind.

The flop came J107 and it was checked to van Hoof who bet out for 175,000. Zizka exited stage left and Yunis made the call.

The players checked down the A turn and 5 river with Yunis tabling K684 for a baby flush which was good when van Hoof mucked his hand.

Tanking Pays Off

Level 25 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Just a few levels earlier, when the table complained about how long Hokyiu Lee was taking to act, he passionately defended his lengthy tank with the pay jump.

That conversation resurfaced moments later when Lee found himself again in an all-in showdown of his own, this time against Cordell Schroeder, who was at risk.

Cordell Schroeder: AKQ6 All in
Hokyiu Lee: AQ105

The board ran J4K55. Lee rivered trips, which boosted his chips. As Schroeder spoke with the floor about his payout, Pantaleo reminded Lee that had Schroeder tanked as long as him, he likely would have made the pay jump.

Nguyen Sends Walters Packing

Level 25 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Thanhlong Nguyen

Nicholas Seward limped from the cutoff as did Thanhlong Nguyen on the button. Christopher Walters made up from the small blind and Philip Stark checked his option.

The flop came 1087 and Walters bet pot for 250,000. Stark and Seward folded and Nguyen made the call.

On the 4 turn Walters checked to Nguyen, who fired out for the pot, which was enough to put Walters all in. Walters thought for a short while and made the call.

Christopher Walters: K988 All in
Thanhlong Nguyen: 101092

Walters was in one of the worst situations possible, flopping set over set, but he did have straight outs to stay alive. No help on the A river and Walters was sent to the rail.
