Bruno Fitoussi Sitting Pretty to Claim First WSOP Bracelet Coming into Day 2 of Event #39: $5,000 Seniors High Roller (8-Handed)
Out of the 791 seniors that rammed into the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas for Event #39: $5,000 Seniors High Roller (8-Handed), just 291 players are returning today, June 13, at 12 p.m. local time for Day 2. With registration open until the end of the first two levels today (about 2:15 p.m.), these numbers are expected to increase.
The chip lead belongs to Bruno Fitoussi (895,000). Hot on Fitoussi's heels is Paul Sokoloff (755,000) and rounding out the podium in third spot is Paul Snead (665,000).
Fitoussi, who claimed second place in the 2007 WSOP $50,000 HORSE event for nearly $1,300,000 is hunting down his first WSOP bracelet and looking to take his lifetime earnings, as per The Hendon Mob, to over the $4,000,000 mark.
Sokoloff is also chasing down his first WSOP bracelet and hoping to close in on the $2,000,000 in lifetime earnings threshold, as per The Hendon Mob. Snead as per the top two is also after his first WSOP bracelet and, as per The Hendon Mob, trying to crack the $3,000,000 in lifetime earnings mark.

As would be expected, a plethora of notable seniors made it through to Day 2 In the top 100. Names such as Matthew Davenport (249,500), Marcel Luske (182,000) and Dan Shak (159,000) have healthy stacks to make a run at getting their hands on the bracelet.
Other notables that advanced to Day 2 and are sitting just outside the top 100 are Scott Lazar (149,000), Damian Salas (146,500), Donnacha O’Dea (140,000), Eli Elezra (116,000), Ron Fetsch (109,000), John Juanda (105,500) and John Duthie (100,000).
Barry Shulman (50,000) and Matt Glantz (50,000) also made it into Day 2. They will be facing an uphill climb, but given their skill and experience are more than capable of making a comeback.
The day will start at Level 11 with blinds at 1,000/2,500/2,500. Levels are 60 minutes and the players will play ten levels for the day with breaks every two levels. A 60-minute dinner break is scheduled after Level 16 (~6:30 p.m.).
