Johnson Does Not Believe, Kessler Approves
Level 2
: Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
After some earlier action, Daniel Hirsh made it 2,100 to go in the cutoff. Tyler Phillips called on the button, Ryan Johnson did so in the big blind, and Alfie Adam came along from the hijack.
Johnson then led out for 5,000 on the 7♣5♣10♣ flop. Adam folded, but Hirsh had other plans and raised to 19,900. Phillips quickly let go of his cards before Johnson called to the 9♦ turn.
He then led again, this time for an all-in bet of 27,500. Hirsh quickly gave up on the hand, tabling the A♣ as he folded. Johnson was kind enough to show A♥K♣8♣5♠2♦ for the second nuts, and he stacked up his newly acquired chips.
"It felt like the naked ace," Johnson said to Hirsh.
"Everyone played that hand well," tablemate Allen Kessler concluded.
